Ended my long saga of the dreaded clunk in my suspension...
Fixed my clunking problem.
I have ICON billet lower trailing arms. And I guess when I had the alignment done. They werent tighten to specs. And since its a 3/8" 12pt socket ( which I don't have in my tool chest) I couldn't fix it.
Today I went to autozone and dug thru a pile of weird sockets and found a whole set that would work with a 12pt socket. Grabbed my beloved Craftsman torque wrench and torque it down to 40lbs. And BAM !!! The heavens parted and it stop raining and the sun came out... LOL just joking!!!
Sound completely went away!!! Just plain AWESOMENESS!!! Thank you guys and ICON tech support for all the help...
Can you send me a picture of your lower control arm? i think i'm getting the same sound as you were and wanted to see how much 'play' you had. It looks like I have to much play in my bushing, but I've never touched those only during alignment were the lower control arm's ever touched.
Thanks!
PS - Google search shows that what I have seems to be 'normal'
Sure did...looks like from the two previous posts above yours that we should get all our mag gray 4runners for a play-date in some of the CO trails!
Ooo... do that yourself? If so, take my money [emoji41]Finally cut the tape to mount the 3-D printed emblem..
