Took it in for 5k service, I think the first time I have ever not changed my own oil... lo and behold they didn't forget to put the skid back on, rotated the tires, actually put new oil in it, and even made a valiant effort at washing the 15lbs of mud off the thing. Definitely will save myself the trouble at 10k and bring it back to Jack Taylor Toyota of Alexandria. Then we drove straight from DC to Michigan with the dog, and I finished up their half assed wash job. I guess i cant complain about a free wash though haha. Gobi rack should be showing up next week and I can't wait to put it on and start using it!

I dont think they changed your oil, it is not normally included in the 5k service.

It depends on what warranty you have. I know mine covers oil changes (synthetic) among other things, and is sched for every 5k miles. I am currently at 9,450, so she will be getting her 2nd oil change shortly..
I have the platinum extended warranty it doesn't dictate service intervals. Do you mean you bought a service package?

Not sure, just know I have the platinum Toyota Care pkg + they cover oil changes/rotation/sched maint, and I take her into Service dept every 5k miles for this service.
In addition, I have the tire/wheel protection plan that will cover any wheels/tires I put on my Runna.
ah ya you paid for a maintenance package. Its not really part of the Platinum waranty. You paid extra for oil changes up front basically.

Oh ok, guess so. I got 4 out of the avail 5 service pkgs offered (didn't do windshield) for the price of 1&1/2 pkgs. The guy was talking my head off as he knew one of my old co-workers that raced moto with him lol.
I told him I wouldn't pay for all those so he just kept knocking down the price until I said "ok".
Then he threw the rims/tires on top of it all for the heck of it :trophy:

Guess I should also add the fact that my wife is hott and was preggo at the time. Never hurts lol :cheer2:

as someone has said before, if you take the price you paid for that sched maint. pkg and divide that by the amount of oil changes you will get the pricing per oil change which should be about the same price they charge normally or higher.
and rotation/sched maint is just fancy talk for doing nothing and charging you for it.
sched maint is just a buzz word to check fluids and that's it (same wording in the owners manual). if they need to change any fluids, that's a separate charge since that's not part of the sched maint.
rotation is just a feel good service that cost nothing to do really for them.

There website is 4x4spod.com it sets up eight circuits for accessory lighting without going into factory wiring at all runs directly off battery to the source unit. And you only have to run one wire into the truck!
