The wife has done this 3 times to her ML350. I trimmed the excess metal on the bracket after the 1st time which made the 2nd and 3rd time less of a repair.

I trimmed mine also after doing some damage. Also wrapped it with some rags it the event it happens again.

Ran up to Indian Lake and ran Hudson Gorge again. Then we camped at Schroon Lake and today scouted take-outs to do an overnight on the river, assuming it rains here again this summer and brings the Hudson up enough...

I just got momentarily delayed in greasy mud pot, I didn't have the balls to roll solo through the middle of the thing and glad I didn't :dizzy: Was down to 5 wraps on the drum. Category 1 flatland mudhole winch exercise. Man that superwinch spools fast. Let is idle right out. In case you were wondering AT tires suck in grease.

yeah ... buddy of mine was asking if the jeep went thru there...

There was this crazy stock jeep that nearly rolled on one of the banks. But anyway; I thought he went thru there. So I said screw it ... he only has a stock lift and made it thru. But, afterwards I asked my friend didnt the jeep went thru the same spot as me ... He said yes but more up river (about 20ft to the right of where I crossed) where it was more shallow...

I cant believe how much water you guys have had. You need it, tho! I haven't been great about keeping up with flows out there because there is sadly no Colorado trip for me this summer. But I do know that some of my favorite runs are cranking along a lot higher out there right now... On the other hand, Lake Powell is nowhere near capacity, so every little bit helps. And at least the whole state won't be on fire come July.

We want to retire on the Western Slope. Long way away, but I watch the weather out there like a hawk. You've had a very un-Colorado year.

Green Belt

Loaded the wife and 3-week old baby girl up in our 4Runna and headed out to the Barton Creek green belt. We finally got to test the new $550 BOB jogging/trail stroller...BADASS, and worth every penny!

lol Independent suspension and trail tires, needless to say my daughter is going to be a trail head

3M-Wrapped Roof Rails

Also--Finally got around to applying the 3M wrap to roof rails. I used 3M 1080 Satin Black Vinyl Wrap.

Combined with the newly added TE/TRDP roof rail end caps, I am thoroughly pleased with the finished look!

Do those side steps get hung up on rocks? They look as strong as sliders but just wondering. I want sliders but my 5'1" wife would prefer me to have some type of step. Thanks!
