Rear Hatch Handle Panel + Blackout Kit

Swapped the rear hatch handle panel out for the TRD/TE panel (black), and then applied the blackout kit. I have to say it was well worth the wait and looks awesome!

Waxed the 4Runner this AM, took way too long. Looks like I will need to clay bar it this fall, lots of little specs of random things all over it. There is so much paint on these things, makes me miss the truck sometimes. Found my first bit of trail damage to my brand new wheels, any suggestions for fixing?? Might be my excuse to get a matching spare and throw this one under in the back. Also found my first door ding, really want to get some sliders now.

Just had 45k minor service w/ tire rotation done at the brand new Toyota of Seattle. Great facility. Had me done in less than 90 min on a Saturday. I checked out the '15 TE and TEP while I waited. Nice, but still plan on keeping this a min of 10 years before I move on.

Day 1 of wheeling with my local club (Heart of Texas Off-road Club) at Hidden Falls Adventure Park. Grabbed a few pics with the phone but only this one is decent. Someone's wife took all kinds of DSLR pics but hasn't been able to share yet.

Found my first bit of trail damage to my brand new wheels, any suggestions for fixing?? Might be my excuse to get a matching spare and throw this one under in the back.

Just gotta live with it if you offroad.

I was shocked at how many scratches I had (once I got all the mud off!) after my first trip. I just sprayed some Rustoleum satin black into the cap and used a small brush to touch up the nicks.

Black wheels hide blemishes really well...

Cool. We saw you all a couple of times but never ended falling in with your group. There were some good looking 4Runners with you. Hope you all had fun and no damage. I haven't been there in three years, and obstacles I did three years ago with no lift, sliders or skidplates, were WAY harder this time due to erosion from rain and tires. I have some serious new scratches, gouges and bends to my skid plates after today. Good times.

Too bad you didn't catch us. Great group this weekend. A little damage here and there but nothing too crazy. I dropped my rear bumper on something somewhere on Wildcat Stairway.

Should be able to push that back out once I get home. Seriously almost flopped it on it's side later in that run. Saved by my sliders. I could not have gotten my hand between the rig and the wall at any point from front wheel to rear wheel. Someone in my group has some pics of it I think. Didn't get far enough to the right and caught a wash out with both left tires and just slid into it. Got very lucky.

The rain has really done a number on many of these trails. Completely different than before.

I installed a Rage Racks roof cargo rack, I didn't really like how it looked, guess there is a reason it was inexpensive. Its easy enough to remove and put back on though so I'll just throw it on when going on trips

Why are people still terrified of showing their license plates online?

This isn't Gone in 60 Seconds, no one is going to have their inside source in the DMV look up your address from your license plate from a picture that was posted online so they can steal your garden-variety 4-Runner.

You drive down the road with it showing to everyone, every day, what purpose does it serve to hide it on the internet?

Try Nanoskin when washing the car. Use a lot of soap to keep it lubed up. Best part if you drop it you can just rinse it off. Nanoskin Car Care Products, nanoskin autoscrub system

If you use a low strength IPA mix (with distilled water) that will remove most "specks" and bug splats with ease. Mixing an IPA

Also instead of wax look at using a sealant like Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant delivers a deep, wet, liquid shimmer unlike anything you can imagine. you can put it on and leave it for awhile and it wipe off like you're dusting.

Also invest in a good buffer it will save you time.

Plastidip the wheels before heading out to prevent some damage to the wheels or going to have to live with it and spray paint.

i had a limited previously.. and was always worried about punching in the lower bumpers while wheelin.. i remember loving that the TE's had a raised unpainted bumper. since i've bought my TE i've punched in that area twice and i just heat it up and pop it back out
