Spent yesterday on the Alpine Loop. Did Corkscrew, Hurricane, California, Engineer, Wager Gulch, and Cinnamon pass! It was a long day but well worth it!

Thanks! They were around $700 with the powdercoat, bolt-on option, and tread plates.

Did the MaxTrax not fit horizontally the Gobi? I just got mine but havent tried laying them across the rack yet.

They will not, long term I may move them to go along the long axis of the gobi which would free up space to be used for bags etc up there but at time of mounting I didnt want them to block the sunroof. but after having the rack I realize that I will never be taking the sun roof instert in and out and I still use the sunroof with the insert on it just adds a "jurrasic park" feel.

Not today, but just general goings on, got settled in back in Houston. Stoked to have my two favorite cars back in the same driveway.

I always forget how big my truck is. A lot of times I look at it and think it looks stock. Next to a stock runner it's huge.

Dropped her off at the dealership to have some parts installed.

Got Painted door handles all around
Black fog light bezels
Painted Hatch panel
Exhaust tip

Most of these parts were pieces that I ordered after my accident. Several were back ordered and just now came in. Pics tomorrow.

[Friggin Idiot]

Left my 4Runner at the airport and flew ~1800 miles for vaction. I wanted to take the 4Runner with me but couldn't justify the days to drive there and back.
My rental is a new Explorer. Maybe [MENTION=118909]MTgirl[/MENTION] can rescue me from the side of the road where this thing belongs (FORD). The Explorer feels wider and though not as long as the 4Runner. It's more peppy in the low end, but I can't for the life of me figure out why the speedo has 0mph at the 6 o'clock position. I keep trying to put the needle in an appropriate place and then realize I'm doing 20mph over the limit!
The interior is smaller and more cramped, and there's no room for my left foot while driving because of the wheel well. At least it has 4wd. Too bad it took me 15 minutes of sitting in the parking lot to figure out there's no GPS and that stupid SYNC is too complex and involved in everything to easily use while driving.
I wish I had rented from Hertz, I had to walk past 3 of their SR5's to find my doom!

Spent the day on some more trails around Ouray. Red Mountain Mining District, Ophir Pass, and Imogene Pass. Then had to try out the Rigids on the end of Imogene tonight.

Ouray is such a beautiful place. I just finished 100's in the Hills there a couple weeks ago. I took my 4Runner from Corkscrew to Lake City.

Went to the Colorado Toyota jamboree this past weekend. Wheeled Tin Cup Pass, Iron Chest Mine & Billings lake.

That looks fun. We need to meet up soon...

Spent this evening putting new Camburg UCA's on, it's surprising how easy it looks in a video. First side took a friend and I about 2hrs including beer consumption and a pizza break, second side took like 30 minutes. Amazing how fast things go once you know what you are doing and get motivated. New tires later this week or early next...
