One interesting note... The ICONS come with the boots now.
Don't say I did not warn you about the brake fluid and what a PITA it can be. That stuff defies gravity..
For anyone ever attempting brake line extensions for LT. Remove the brackets and replace the flexible hoses on a bench (makes it so much easier). However, you will still have brake fluid going everywhere.
I have not figured out a way to completely drain the lines without making a mess.
How'd does it feel and sound ??? @wfo9Finally got rid of that ridiculous Y pipe. So much better. More clearance and power... No more crush section after the cross member. I can now raise up my transfer case skid brace an inch or so.
There seems to be a noticeable gain in power. It really screams when the VVTI cicks in. I may take a video with sound tomorrow....
It's still a wimpy v6, but at least it is now an angry :gun5: little V6 that is uncorked. If I put some smaller tires on it.. + the gearing... I think it might even get to 60 under 7 seconds.
Hopefully, there will be a little gain in MPG also.
Installed my Gobi Rack and ladder over the weekend
This reminds me of something I have wondered for awhile... With a full sized spare like that, do you cycle it in with normal rotations so they wear evenly or do you use it only as needed?
Installed aluminum RCI skids

My rigs sexy twin !!! Looks good brudda...
Well for me I'll use as needed. Reason I got a full size spare is because I had something go in the sidewall and patched it so I moved it to the space and got a new tire.
so clean
hahaha thanks brutha! Can't wait til you get your rack in too.
Looks good. I installed those a couple months ago as well but have had a rattle when in reverse. I went under there today and started hitting each plate. I think it's coming from the trans plate where it meets the transfer skid.
You having any issues with a rattle? Need to find a solution to this.
