What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

I bought stock size 265/70/17 tires. They definitely feel heavier than the stock duelers but I only had those tires for 800 miles. I haven't finished a gas tank with them yet but I'm sure I'll lose a mile per gallon. These are c-rated. I didn't see the need to go to the e- load. Hope that helps! Here's a closer shot after I cleaned it up.

New front and rear pads and rotors. 40 k and the brakes were still good but making a ton of noise. Bought upgraded rotors as opposed to having the factory ones resurfaced.

This weekend the 4R transported firearms and other instructional materials to a classroom and indoor range. We (an attorney, SWAT trainer and several other instructors) then spent the weekend (16 hours over 2 days) teaching a firearms class to 23 students. Fun.

These two areas now hold a magnet mount for the Ham, bungee cords, a folding shovel, and some space blankets. I was hoping to fit a 30' strap but it's too big.

Crawl to the Top
This weekend I attended the first annual Crawl to the Top at Bald Mountain OHV. There were a total of 68 rigs there, a combination of Jeeps and Toyotas. Long story short, we didn't run the trail. A non affiliated party in a Nissan decided to plow the trail before we got there, and sunk the truck to frame in the middle of the trail. After some of the group spent a good amount of time trying to get him out and clear the trail, we were told to move off of the road by the Law Enforcement Officer. Many disbanded, but a group of Toyota guys hung out a bit longer up the road. A few hours passed, and we drove past the trail head. "Mr. Frontier" was still being recovered, so we decided to not try a second attempt with it being 2pm. I will be back to try again in the spring. It was great to meet other enthusiasts and to see their rigs. I can't wait for the next trail run! Thanks [MENTION=91623]CenCalifoothill15[/MENTION] for the invite!

Took it for a drive down some fire roads and went on a hike with the dog in Forest Park, Portland. About two and a half miles into Wildwood Trail he started sniffing the air a lot, pulled his ears back, and refused to walk any further. We stopped an conducted SLLS for anyone who's familiar with that... total silence. He acted like there was a predator around, but I doubt there's anything large in there. Maybe a Sasquatch. Anyways, I've never seen him act that way so we headed back to the truck happy and muddy.
