What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

So I had some dipshit rear end me while I was stopped at a red light, dented in the lift hatch pretty good, knocked the muffler loose from the supports, pushed out the rear right 1/4 panel plastic, dented my gobi ladder, general bumper damage, etc..... he gave me an insurance card but it was his moms and didn't list him as a driver so not sure what the deal with insurance will be but I sure hope I'm not on the hook for my $1000 deductible. Anyone have any idea what the repairs might end up being for something like this, not sure if they would fix the rear hatch or just put a new one on, damage to plastic rear quarter panel should be easy to repair but those parts usually ain't cheap, plus who knows what the damage underneath might be... it is unreasonable to think this might go up to $5000??? I have ICON suspension with remote reservoir located back towards then end but I can't see any damage...anything else to be sure and make sure on the damage... didn't hit very hard, we were both stopped at a red light.... thinking I may use this as an opportunity to get a new steel bumper.... Shrockworks here I come.

My buddy got rear ended. Cost the woman's insurance almost $8k.

My garage for my Apt is 7' of clearance. Everyone keeps mentioning I can just take the RTT off or on when needed. I call bullshit, it's NOT easy to install those.

Yes! We need to figure out a way to instal/ disassemble quick. I thought I would take it off everytime I was done camping but after today... It's staying on.

Having seen the pics of your garage you've posted. An RTT is not right for you, I just park in my driveway but to me that is the only real negative.

It is easier once you have done it but not quick enough, not even getting to the weight.

I built a pulley system using parts of an off the shelf garage storage pulley and things from lowes. I can't imagine keeping this thing on all the time.

Don't really have any good pics. This one gives you an idea. I'll put a video of it in action on youtube when I get back home next week.

That's why I'm doing a trailer. That'll be what the RTT goes on ultimately. And likely a James Baroud as well.

Plus the weight up high isn't something I'd be stoked for.

I finally remembered to head over there today and verify. There is a ramp at Mill Creek Marina that you can access without going through security. It is a little bit of a walk from the ramp to a spot where you can park a trailer, but not too bad. Nobody will bother you over there. Matte Black Emblems

I added the covers to my emblems to make them matte black. I have a Trail Premium and the kit comes with 2-SR5 emblem covers. I have no use for them if someone needs them! :bigok:
