Um, no, it does not. PD has a texture, looks repainted, attracts dust/dirt/rag fuzz, and does not hold up well over time and pressure washing. I know.... and I wouldn't do it again.

Um, yes, it does to me. But technically I used the Rustoleum version which has a flat texture and it looks the same. I hear ya on the PD texture though as I've seen my friends wheels and noticed that. I don't have dust/dirt attracting problems with the Rustoleum and it has held up very well for me.

I'm sure the covers look slightly better. But I wouldn't go as far as to say "far nicer".

Just my opinion.

Finished the HAM install.

Ran the antenna to under the driver's seat along with power from the battery. Then installed a faceplate separation kit so I can mount the faceplate in the sunglass holder. Then ran a mic extension from the faceplate back down to along driver's right leg on the center console to hang the mic.

Last week I had windshield replaced with OEM glass. Now it has 1 inch hole in it. It got smashed by the road rock this morning. Don't you just hate it?

Detailed my buddies massive Icon equipped LE on 35's. I did an exterior decontamination/claybar & then a coat of AMMO skin defense & some light spray wax on top. Such a sick truck. Much rub, much big, me like.

Coming from a guy who has yet to get a good SWR reading on his CB (you may not want to listen to me)....

....have you considered flipping that mount over so that the base sits a little lower and installing one of those fold down mounts?

That way you could get a longer antenna and not have it erect all the time.

(I'll also be interested to know how good of an SWR reading you get and where you ground.)

Thanks CowboyTaco... interesting idea and product. I've kinda committed to the route I'm going and should have it all fished up tomorrow. Those pictures were from a mockup to help me figure stuff out. I've improved the overall approach and think I have an elegant solution for the ground. Guess I'll find out once I hook up the SWR meter. Will post how it all works out.

Wrapped the hood scoop and part of the hood. Had the hood of my FJ Cruiser Plastidiped to reduce the glare, but since 4Runner's hood is more complex, I left it to the pros. So happy with the results!

Didnt do anything to, or in it today. Bc im in the middle of the gulf of mexico but i did order xenon depot HID kit with philips bulbs and their yellow philips LED fog lights. cant wait to get home and install them.
