Discovered that my Baja utility rack with some padding is a great place to sleep under the stars.
Bugs thought so too.
$5 in 3/4x3/4x1/2 PVC tees, a saw and some 1/2 I had laying around combined with an 8'x10' sheet of mosquito netting.
Still cleaning it up and refining, but my daughter likes to sleep in the car, so I can sleep on the roof and transition through the sunroof.
Pvc tees with a 1" hole cut in the side lengthwise clip right onto the roof rack bars. I also hot glued some rope along the perimeter of the netting to weigh it down.
Ghetto camping at its best, and I can throw a tarp over it if need be, or remove the PVC supports and just drape the netting across the car sideways and it will cover the windows so we can sleep inside with fresh air and no bugs.
Setup is a breeze - clip in two poles, toss net over, open sunroof and insert padding and sleeping bag. Bam. Your room is full of stars tonight.

Please do! And make it look better than mine. And post pictures.
I'd get netting that's longer and wider though, so that it drapes all the way down over the windows and they can be rolled down.

It's actually not attached to the panel. I installed a metal bracket to the metal part of the cargo door behind the panel. Then I drilled 2 holes in the cargo door panel to allow the bolts to connect to the metal bracket and the rotopax lock-down thing. The whole install process took quite a while. Lots of measuring and re-measuring to get everything lined up correctly.
I can guarantee that if I had simply bolted it to the panel, the whole panel would fall on my head the first time I opened them door. The container weighs about 13 pounds with all the gear in it.

Got new tires put on today. 275/70R17 BFG KO2. Definitely some rubbing on the front bumper at full lock but should be fine for a couple weeks until my Pelfreybilt bumper comes

Did a little beach riding on Assateague Island
Couple of things checked off the list...
1.) Swapped out my head unit for a touch-screen aftermarket Pioneer radio. Still need to work on the ASWC-1 harness to retain steering wheel controls, but not worried about that.
2.) Fished a USB cable from the back of the new head unit through the center console.
3.) Swapped out the sh*tty roof rack cross-bar bolts for something easier to twist ($3/each).
4.) Went to Assateague Island and got to use the new Yakima Skyrise for the first time. Made this cool little video of us on the OSV section of the beach.

Sorry no pics at the moment but I spent the day washing, clay barring and applying ceramic coat. It was tedious but the paint looks amazing now
