Step for the wife, ding protection from cars, and gravel protection. If you need more reasons, there are numerous threads dedicated to installing running boards... I went the OEM route since they are well made (no rust issues, etc), don’t reduce ground clearance, and they look right on my TRD ORP.

Why did you install a TRD billet oil cap?

It improves engine performance and gas mileage and makes oil changes more pleasant I always glad to answer any questions without getting offended. Nice truck but OEM running boards is a different story. There will be opinions and not all positive. Welcome to the boards.

We all know how you need to limit how far your rear hatch opens up if you park in the garage. Well I got tired of hooking and unhooking the line to limit how far the hatch opens. You have to hook and unhook cuz the line hangs out the door due to all the slack if you don't... So I used two small bungee cords to constantly have tension on the line and take up the slack when the door is closing. Works great.

Before the Rago rack I drilled a hole in the coat hanger to hook the bungee to.

Just added the wheels the other day, heated seats last week, the SSO bumper/lightbar/winch the week before that. Just trying to decide if I should leave the wheel spacers on since the TRD wheels have more offset the the stock TE wheels.

Did you reassemble the seats with new hog clips or did you go another route?

I've had a set of heaters I've been procrastinating on installing for years because I dread the hamburger hands that will result from the eleventybillion hog rings.

Not by choice lol. Need something for the wife and kids, stock steps are terrible. This was the trade off. If it was up to me, I would have nothing on there at all.

Installed Shockworks sliders. Took me about 4 hours from start to finish. First couple of hours was spent trying to make sense of the instructions and gathering all the parts & tools needed. They didn’t come with the right size bolts, so double check the parts before starting on the installation.

Hey man! Congrats on the rack!

I just got mine installed this past weekend. That said do a quick inventory of all your hardware. I was missing most of the stuff to mount the rack to my roof.

Ended up going to Lowe's and bought some stainless steel bolts to make it all work.

I'm working with CBI right now to see how they'll compensate me for the missing hardware.

Aside from that I really like the rack!

ive waited just about 2 months for mine and still waiting. Nov 14th - 15th its expected to arrive.

Packed up and took a trip to Lake Whitney State Park this past weekend. First trip to try out the trailer/tent combo! It was nice having so much extra storage space and also still being able to leave the tent set up and drive the car if needed.
