it should be ok, i plastidip'd mine 2 years ago and its still going strong at 1 can per wheel, just don't use oil based solvents on it to clean it....

The rack comes with 8 crossbars and you have space for 10. If you can afford, order 10.
I took a lot of pictures and I'm waiting for my "Junior" status to expire so I can create an installation thread.

Started my 2012 TE this morning and had a very rough idle. CEL and multi terrain select warning lights flashing so I had it towed to the dealership. :wtf:

The problem was re wind fairing installation.
Those nuts don’t align properly

and some amount of filing is required on the inside of the fairing

I advise first fit-mounting on a flat surface to see where you are, unless you want your BOSS

to give you the look of “you paid 1k for this, I’m here for the last 1/2h and you still did not install this thing? [emoji4]

When you fit it, make sure the edge trim is in between fairing and the rail.
Fitting will allow you to see if you need to file the fairing

and where you have to start filing

Maybe you’re lucky and you will not have to make any changes but doing it first on a flat surface will save you a lot of aggravation.

Check also how many 1/4-20 button heads you get. Their inventory list calls for 52 but you need 60s. I wrote them last night about it.
With 52 screws you end up with 4 rails mounted on 2 screws vs 3

I’m also frustrated by the fact that one of the fairing’s nuts gave away and I couldn’t finish one screw

I’ll have to figure out a solution for it

I think the problem is with rivnuts mounting. You need to offset the holes a little bit. The holes are about 2mm too big vs the rivnut diameter and when you compress the rivnut you don't have a consistent product.
When I installed the wind fairing, I observed inconsistency with rivnut mounting: some were high, low, on the exterior or on the interior, mostly on the interior - you see my filing and my pic.
Dry-fitting the rack before shipping will show you where the problem is, if there are any and save customer's headaches.
I appreciate sending me another bracket and rivnut though I don't know how to remove the screw as it is stuck and the rivnut is turning. Any help would be appreciated.

Installed the Yodateq engine compartment light kit. Very nice kit with bulletproof instruction including a video. They even give you a pulling wire. Very nice and well thought out product, yes I had half the components already but it’s nice to see kits like this for our trucks.

Looking good. Does the kit include a another kill switch to turn the light off? I'm wondering how much power this uses. I know I can just tape the button down to shut the light off but a manual switch would be nice too.
