Just mailed them a pin to do a custom shifter knob, now I wait... :whoo:

It does really well considering its shaped like a brick. Lol. I only upgraded the hitch. Not sure if I need a tranny cooler in the AZ summer months. I guess I will find that out soon enough. My only concern is with the WD Hitch. I'm starting to see rust where the paint has chipped off around the welds on the factory hitch point and it has only the 4 bolts holding it on. It has to be under a lot of stress keeping everything level. If it breaks off the vehicle that trailer is on its own because the chains go with it. It would make for a very expensive stop letting the trailer slam into the back of the 4runner.
Found out that the spacers (installed by the dude who owned by 2016 4R before me) need to come out :sobbing: At 3 inches, they're the largest spacers he's seen installed on a 4R....totally throwing the balance of it off and causing mad rubbing when turning. And it's making me run through brake pads and rotors like crazy.
Anyone have any experience with smaller spacers? 1inchers maybe?

A lot of the folks on this forum go with the Spidertrax 1 1/4" variety, i had them on my 02, and was very happy with them.

3" wheel spacers? Yeah, that's a death wish. Better look over everything else that guy did. If he was a hack enough to think 3" wheel spacers were a good idea god knows what else he screwed up.

The vision in my mind is that of a 12 year-old walking around in a pair of untied Chuck Taylor high-tops that would fit Sasquatch.
Before and after pics would be enlightening...no crack on you, we just love to see the depths of 'are you serious' that some folks are willing to go to.

I got my parking brake fixed after I had some new brakes installed at the dealer (would have done it myself but this salt up here is brutal on hardware and I didn't feel like putting the effort in on the caliper bolts and pad retaining pins after I pulled the first wheel). Heard some scraping yesterday, sounded like drivers rear, jacked it up in neutral and parking brake off and couldn't turn that wheel by hand. Had to loosen the parking brake to pull the rotor off and these parts fell out of the shoe. Looks like the remnants of a spring that holds the shoe back from the inside face of the rotor...

Uh, looks they messed up bad. They didnt spin the "lock" washer around enough to set it. What else was loose in there when you took the rotor off? There should be a spring the goes over that pin. The washer in the bottom of the picture locks everything in place. I wouldn't drive too much if there is anything floating around. It cpuld fall apart while your drivwing and cause a whole mess of problems. Best bet would be to take all the parts out if you are going to drive it and not use the ebrake till you can get it fixed. I know some truck engage the e-brake pads when stopping in reverse.

Yea they took care of it today...luckily I only live 2 miles from the dealer and have a 3 mile commute :trophy:
Funny thing is I wouldn't have noticed any of this if it weren't 50 deg in Feb. Had the window down and could hear the sound reflecting off things as I drove by. Nothing with windows up...
