Nope it was the Toyota brand 0-20 full synthetic as required which I've actually heard is nothing special at all. Someone makes it for Toyota, who knows who, generally whoever bids the cheapest. I run synthetic even where not required but there is no option with our engines. I was getting 14.5 avg, I'm now at 16.5 avg. I agree, not at all what I expected to see.

That's not true. The Toyota oil is made by Exxon/Mobil, the same company that makes Mobil 1. The Toyota oil is very good and is made specifically for our motors.

Let me add that Toyota OEM synthetic is additive rich and runs slightly thinner than Mobil synthetic as well. Do some reading on bobistheoilguy. The info is buried somewhere on that site

My wife curbs our ****ing tires because she was netflixing and driving. Now the tire shop wont rotate/balance our tire because of sidwall damage. Could've gotten another 2 years out of this set. My kids are too young to drive but definitely not looking forward to that day.

This is the exact reason people die or get seriously hurt in auto accidents. Nobody pays attention behind the wheel anymore. She's lucky it was a curb she hit, not a minivan filled with a family.

If I were you, I wouldn't care about the tires. You'll be more worried about the lawsuit when she kills someone while driving distracted.

There's something about the stock glass that sucks - before my previous truck was totaled in a separate incident, it had 2-3 decent big chips like yours before it reached 7,000 miles. My current one is close to 15k miles and also has a really big chip right in my line of sight and a second smaller one. In 10 years, my 2004 tacoma had two rock chips ever. Not sure what the deal is.

But just an FYI your insurance (or if you have AAA) may offer free rock chip repair annually.

I didn't actually do anything, but I had [MENTION=152854]JasonRSG[/MENTION] install compustar remote start and replace a lightbar switch for me last week - everything came out as expected and from the first phone call until I picked it up they were really pleasant, informative and helpful and I would highly recommend. Spoke on the phone a few times with Colter who was awesome and Jason was happy to answer all my questions when I picked up. 10/10.

It's not much, but I took a couple shots on my stock skids in Moab over easter. As you can see the transmission plate just behind the TRD skid got a good what-for. Replaced it with the RCI trd integrated plate and am waiting on the transmission and transfer case plates to be delivered. :drummer:

Loaded up the kayaks for the first time on the 4R and hit the lake this past Sunday. Definitely learned some "do's and don'ts" of strapping these things onto the rack. So if anyone has any recommendations for kayak racks or mounting tips let me know. Excuse the shitty caption and angle. I didn't realize until just now that it was the only picture I took.

What did you go with for the rear coils? I'm planning on doing the kings this weekend but have the icon 2" coils at the moment. Not really digging them, they feel too stiff with the stock weight.
