PS - 10 minutes to air down from 32 to 20psi with the ARB EZ Inflator is really slow. Make sure you are unscrewing the stem out all the way. It takes <2 minutes for me to go from 42 to 18psi. When I first used the EZ Inflator I didn't screw it out all the way and it was slow like you are describing.

...Yesterday it was supposed to rain here...but the forecast changed to clear-n-sunny...so decided to play hooky and go for a drive...
...I went south to the west edge of Yellowstone NP...to a place called Earthquake-Lake.
..In 1959 a 7.5 quake hit this area above a campground along the river, and an entire side of a mountain slid down into the valley, burying it in 225 feet of rocks, boulders and trees..killing 28 people, and creating a lake from the dammed-up river.

...Going past that eerie place...I saw a small dirt road leading down to a camping area along the Beaver Creek...so decided to explore...
..The first quarter mile was clear...but the trail had a sharp dropoff on one side....and then I came to a long stretch of deep snow...about a foot or so deep...but I wasn't looking for adventure quite yet...and then I thought...'Hell!...this IS a 4x4....so put it into 4-wheel and headed downhill...
...The snow had been packed into slippery ruts...so it wasn't nice grippy snow...but more like it had been sprayed with WD-40...
...After several long stretches of this...perhaps half a mile..got to an area big enuff to turn around...and this is where I took the pic below going back up...but this was not the worst part of the trail...It was 'interesting' going both down and up as the runner bounced sideways a lot like a pinball...and the dropoff was sorta far down....but even with stock tires...the vehicle handled it nicely!
...First time trying out the 4-wheel drive!....Woo-Hoo!..:bravo:

Depending on which winch you buy, net will be around 100-120lbs added to the front. Then factor in reduced gas efficiency, then the lift you'll want, and the wheels you'll want, then the rear bumper you want, then the roofrack you'll want.

It’s the ARQ4WD from the group buy about 9 months ago. It’s the 270 which I’ve added some limiting straps to hold at 180 when the tailgate is up. Works good on the FJ as the 270. Over all pretty good, a little cheesy on construction but was expected for the price point.

Dealership told me they couldn't do it (they literally didn't have anyone who knew how), so I ordered the $13 cable, downloaded the software, and did it myself too
Changed all kinds of other stuff too like light shutoff times, door locking functions, and rear wiper intervals. Glad I took the time to figure it out!
Sounds like you changed a lot for $13. Care to elaborate on which cable and what software?

Don't forget the regear to the axles to bring it up to snuff. Then may as well add a front locker (and rear if you don't have one) while you are in there. :thumb:
As a Texan, my first time this year driving in packed snow on a Forest Service road out in the middle of nowhere with a severe drop off on one side was pretty damn terrifying. I tried to trust the 4WD but it was pretty scary how, like you said, you're just kind of bouncing side to side unsure of whether the physics are just gonna throw you off the side or keep you in place. I was also terrified going at it solo since I had zero resources to help get me out of trouble besides what came on the 4Runner.

Damn dude, I'm a little ambivalent about the bead locks (personally) but that rig looks friggin' sweet.
