I just looked in my glove box for the very first time about an hour ago and noticed that space. I wondered if there was a way to do this. Now I'm excited to research this some.

Finally cleaned mine out. Kind of spur of moment trade in of my RAM last weekend for this 4runner meant everything that was in it got thrown into the back of the 4runner at the dealership. Been a mess and looked like I lived back there. Was great showing friends my brand new rig that was a wreck in back.

Swamped at work all week. Been fighting a weird head cold. One of my kids graduated. Been too busy to deal with it. Finally today cleaned it out for our road trip to Seattle tomorrow.

Going to sit down and research how others have organized stuff.

We spent a few days on the Rubicon... literally. Long story short, we broke right off the bat and spent the next few days fighting to get it up and running. It sucked and was awesome all at the same time, if that makes sense. I think I’m going to have to write a detailed story on my thread.

Just came from a Ram 2500, 6.2L, 4x4..previous Jeep guy rockcrawler builder. I want to take my new to me '16 TP through the Con.

Is Cromo an option yet for these? Steering linkage upgrades? I miss Birfields, Marlin, Atlas, Dana 300, Dana 60's...

By the way, I know exactly how fun it is to be in a bad situation and get things right again.

Thanks for that. I’ve been looking into that since I got home. The inner link went first, which is the one spare that I didn’t have. 35’s are in the future, so I’ve got to do something.

I come from a similar background and I rolled up there with 6 nice rigs, all on trailers, all on tons. We were basically just tagging along for the lake camping. My truck is set up pretty nice, but not Well enough to enjoy this trail. it was a bit much for what I’m running, if I didn’t want to come out with body panels that look like a raisin.

They do make stuff and I’m looking into it. Im actually taking a second to really think about what I was this truck to do. LT, SAS, I’m looking into all options. One thing I do know is, I’ll be back. It’s freaking awesome up there.

Finally solved the mysterious dash rattle. The rattle wasn't in the dash, rather my ARB compressor mount ripping apart the inner fender. Had to remove and fab an additional support to keep the vibrations from doing any more damage. Nothing like fab work with none of the proper tools, except the welder. Added the piece circled.

Finally did a couple things I’ve been meaning to today.
1) Removed the running boards. Definitely looks a lot better, and looks like clearance will be greatly improved. I’m sure my wife and son will complain tomorrow... They liked the step. I will get sliders with a step eventually...
2) ARB Diff Breather Mod. This was kind of a big one for me. Bought the kit a while ago and watched a couple videos several times... Finally got up the nerve to do it. Felt really good!


Oh boy. By removing your running boards you violated the wisdom of “Happy wife = happy life”.

Hit me like a ton of bricks. Holy shit. Thought I saw a cock and balls on the ultra sound. Nope it’s a girl. Haha now I’m done she got me wrapped around her little finger.

Sometimes you just gotta do what it takes. I’d be interested in see where it broke. I made a similar bracket, but mine sits on top of a Shrockworks air pump relocation bracket.

I gotta say, those compressors are nice. I was able to easily seat a bead this week and I have no extra tank yet.

There is a mount under the hood strut and that is where the inner fender was tearing since it was pivoting on the lower stud mount spot. Those compressor have a bit of weight.

Improvise, adapt and overcome. Always gets it done.

I haven't been on the Rubicon in about 15 years. I would love to get together with a small group and run that trail again.
