What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Installed a Dobinson 3" lift on the truck and added 275/70R17 BFG K02. Before the lift I measured the front wheel well at 34.25 and she sits at 37.25. Plan on getting it out this weekend and flexing the suspension.

Congrats on the 14k but what I wanna know is how you pulled of almost 20mpg!!! lol

It's been that way from the start and have reset it a few times. Most of my driving is highway/interstate, very little stop-and-go city driving.

Plus I'm an old fart and take my time....

From the weekend but started the mods. Installed RSG flat sliders. And there looked good.

Finally did a couple things I’ve been meaning to today.
1) Removed the running boards. Definitely looks a lot better, and looks like clearance will be greatly improved. I’m sure my wife and son will complain tomorrow... They liked the step. I will get sliders with a step eventually...
2) ARB Diff Breather Mod. This was kind of a big one for me. Bought the kit a while ago and watched a couple videos several times... Finally got up the nerve to do it. Felt really good!

I want to remove my running boards as well, but yeah, the wife and kiddo both use them. I may just say screw it and remove them one of these weekends!

Slapped the sexy new wheels on. I think I like them [emoji16]

I've only driven them around at about 35 miles per hour so far, but I can definitely notice a difference in handling. I also very much notice how much they stick out compared to the stock TRD off-road wheels - really digging it. Anyone else notice a difference in handling?

Looks great! Btw... where’d you buy the tires? Looking at the buying the same tires when my kumhos wear out.

Are you going to do your ucas? Just did mine and it’s a night and day difference.

Was wondering if anyone would be able to check my compressor plan

175psi seems a bit steep for your safety valve. Something near 120 might be better in the event something does go wrong.

The check valve seems like an unnecessary point of failure and the drain should be on the tank.

I'm no expert on the matter but that's what looks somewhat unusual to me.

Falken Wildpeak AT3W All Terrain Radial Tire - 265/70R17 115T https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C53CFMU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_PHZiBb1Q03651

Amazon - one of the few options we have up here in central Alaska for decent priced tires.

Overall I like the tires. They look sweet, they're super quiet on the highway, they handle dirt roads and mud great, and they are crazy cheap. Only problem I've had is on ice, but pretty much all tires suck on ice, and Alaska is just a ridiculously difficult place to drive in the winter. I have a pair of blizzaks on the original rims for those other six months of the year now [emoji846]

BTW: I had some Kumho Road Venture AT (KL78) on my Xterra - those things were miserably loud!! These things are significantly quieter.

EDIT: Dangit RedST4R haha, I just realized who you were (also on Eielson). Seriously though, I decided to put these on in early April, and I was sliding all over the damn place. BFG Ko2 or Cooper A/Tw are highly recommended if you're gonna run them year round up here.

The ARB and Viair are rated for up to 150psi, so I wanted to be just above that and 175psi seemed to be the next step up in general.

Honest question, but what makes the check valve unnecessary? I thought it was to prevent backflow of air pressure from the tank to the compressor. Is it not needed in a setup like this??
