That wasn’t me, I’ve been TDY lol. Probably similar cause I’ve seen a few in the area with the same color as mine. Although, it looks like a nice spot/scenery so I may have to travel there one day.

Yeah, Valdez is right on Prince William Sound, and I don't think it ever stops raining. It's so green the mountains look painted/carpeted.
Fishing trip was a blast. Unfortunately the weather was pretty rough so we didn't get to go far out into the ocean to catch the big ones, but we got plenty in the sound. Quite the experience.

Well, after weeks of waiting I finally got the satin black roof rails installed on the truck. Here's a little before and after side by side
Driver's side installed
I was able to use the stock Toyota OEM black roof caps so I was able to avoid painting the stock silver caps which I now have 2 sets of and swapped them out for the black
I was trying and planning to mount an ARB awning on the passenger side roof rail for use when I go to concerts but after nearly 2 hours of fighting with the provided mounts from Rago I discovered that the powder coat thickness was preventing the bolts from going in correctly. Frustrated I scrapped the awning mounts for now and mounted the other bar.
Overall I'm happy with the look of the new black rails and the silver delete. Here's the finished product with the OEM black caps installed.

No. Not yet. Im using a HT. A baofeng BF-F8HP. I only got my call sign yesterday so I don't have any real experience at all. Im looking at a mobile set up for the truck. Thinking something like a Yeasu FT-8900.

Just finished installing JBA high caster UCAs. Contrary to what I have read and seen on YouTube, it can easily be done by one person. Just use a pry bar to make room to slide that second inner bushing into place. I'll update the JBA thread after my alignment numbers come back.

I keep toying with the idea of getting into ham (like I need another hobby to divert money into), but really like the idea of having a mobile setup. I'm curious to hear what you decide to go with if you go that route.

...More Progress On My Sleeping Platform-Part-3...
...Howdy!....and welcome back....and for those of you that have an attention-span and memory like mine.....you can find Part-2 on page 2235....
...When we last left our heroes back on the ranch....
...I had finished sealing all the plywood and painting the metal framework...
...The next thing I did was install a piano-hinge on the portion of the platform that would cover the center-console, so I could fold it over out of the way while driving....also so it wasn't poking me in the right arm all day!.....Ha!...
...Next...I started applying the indoor/outdoor carpeting...using small nails that were about 5/8s long.....guessin about 400-500 of those little suckers!
...Also added some molding along the length of the platform...to help keep me and the air-mattress in the middle at night....and some nylon-straps to tie it all down when I was driving...so the mattress and bag didn't slide around or off....
...As this whole thing was to be bolted down to the metal supports, I left strips of carpeting un-nailed until the platform was finally secured...
