Installed arb twin air compressor with slee mount. Kept the switch under the hood for now until I get SPod.

So I changed my iPad mini to the Nexus 7. Installed Android Auto and it works so much better than the iPad mini. Android is just far more customizable and with the Nexus 7 having wireless charging, I'm going to somehow rig it so that there will be a charger when I place it on the dashboard. I was thinking of changing the whole oem radio to CarPlay but I think this looks pretty dang stock and it works great. It's also nicer than the iPad since it's not as tall and wider. Looks like it was made to be on the dash.

Did some traveling around Mount. Hood (in Oregon) and had quite the adventure! The first lake we went to, Clear Lake, which I hadn't visited since I was a child was all dried up, so we went a little further north to Timothy Lake to do our kayaking.
Also ended up pulling out a stuck Ford Ranger in the marsh, that was quite an experience! Got a video of it too.

Busy day. Not only did I wash and detailed the wife's M3. I tackled installing #morimoto HID retrofits into the truck, while I had the radiator cover off I took apart the upper grille to remove the logo to plastidip it. While I was doing that Amazon came with my LED interior bulbs and got to doing that. To top off the day I masked off the rear logo and #4rumner chrome pieces and dipped them. Little things makes this truck "mine" the bigger stuff will come in time but for now these things will hold me over. Oh and I also did the fender liner mod so no more rubbing with the wheels turned whilst in reverse. Also got this patch from a friend [emoji23]

How did you do wireless charging on the 7? I have the first gen and second and they're so laggy are you experiencing that?

I have 1st gen and it went to brick after one of the system updates. I restored to factory android version, disabled check for the update and whole bunch of "preloaded " apps. It is not the fastest thing in the world but runs OK with most apps I use (mail, Firefox, Netflix, Navigation and such ). The only thing it runs extremely slow is Sonicwall VPN (I think this app just sucks)
The key with Nexus us to keep it light and stock (do not allow android updates ruin it). It is 6-7 years old and for technology it is old, but the quality and fornat of this tablet is better than most cheep 7inch new ones.

Picked up my first body damage on the trail today. :sobbing:
Tackled an overly aggressive line and got a little out of shape and rocked it into a tree, partly due to spotting and partly due to not telling my spotters in the first place that I thought the line was over my head. At least I had the sense to take my first winch line to get out of the mess.
The 4runner is an extremely capable vehicle, but today I found the limits of my current setup. Next stop, bigger tires and keep hoping that [MENTION=147044]AdventureMotors[/MENTION] finishes up that 10-13 bumper soon so I can get my winch mounted and get myself out of these messes a little easier. :tongue:

The second gen nexus 7 2013 has wireless charging. I'm not doing too much on the nexus so it's not too laggy. It'll definitely due for what I'm trying to make it do.

Since I'm on the board for the Cheyenne Mountain Repeater Group, I park the left side on 147.345 (Cheyenne Mtn) most of the time. The right side moves around depending on what I want to listen to. Unfortunately, our D-Star repeaters don't have a gateway connection so I don't listen to those repeaters very often.
I'll be heading down to AZ on the 31st and I'll be monitoring the MegaLink system in NM and the EAARS system...more specifically the Heliograph Peak repeater.
My antenna is a Diamond NR770NMO on a Diamond mount but I want to install a Larsen NMO mount through the roof as soon as I can figure out how to get the headliner down enough to drill a hole without going through the liner and route the coax.
