What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

So I changed my iPad mini to the Nexus 7. Installed Android Auto and it works so much better than the iPad mini. Android is just far more customizable and with the Nexus 7 having wireless charging, I'm going to somehow rig it so that there will be a charger when I place it on the dashboard. I was thinking of changing the whole oem radio to CarPlay but I think this looks pretty dang stock and it works great. It's also nicer than the iPad since it's not as tall and wider. Looks like it was made to be on the dash.

How did you get it to stay up there?

Just wrapped up a week long trip with the wife, 9 month old and pop up camper from Denver to Park City to the Tetons to Yellowstone, out the NE entrance and back to Denver. Probably wouldn't do it again with a 9 month old, but overall was a fun experience. Arrived home to my new camper plates in the mail.

Just hooked up the blue seas fuse block. Decide to upgrade battery to a northstar 27f that will arrive in mail by Monday. I did the wiring today so when battery gets here plug and play. Going to run 35L dometic fridge and the ARB compressor of this. Let me know if you see any mistakes I’m no electrician just went of something I saw on here

All, thx for the AC control install info. I did it, but this did not solve the problem of my fan motor NOT working. Soooo... can you point me to a procedure for replacing the AC fan / blower motor? I searched, but just found info on earlier Gen's, not my 5th gen 2016 4runner.

Finished the install of my Aluminum SSO bumper, Warn Platinum 10K winch, and 30" SR 2 Ridig light bar!!! Total net weight gain of 113LBS. Very HAPPY with the whole set up. Lowered front end roughly 3/4".... maybe. That's with stock TEP shocks.

Road trip to Western PA Cook Forest second weekend in September. Can't wait to hit the Forest roads at night :<)))

What brand and model is this trailer?

It's a 2017 Jayco 8SD I purchased used locally off craigslist. It's basic and small but for our little family of 3 plus a dog it works great - it's also our first foray in to any kind of rv ownership so it's been a good little trailer to learn with.

Why the 100 amp breaker on cable good for about 30 amps tops? That wire will be on fire long before that breaker trips. Either upgrade the wire or install the proper breaker for your application.

My buddy gave me the fuse block and the breaker like I said I’m no electrician what amp break should I get or what gadge wire should I upgrade too? This word I hooked up was from arb compressor wiring was to long so I cut it and thought I could save some money by using it for fuse box

If you don't know anything about electrical then I would either get a pre-made kit or have it professionally installed. Electrical is the one thing that you want to have done properly. Not doing it right could be disasterous because you could short out a wire and cause a fire. The wire you're running from the main battery to the Blue Sea looks to be a 16 gauge wire. There is no way in hell you can carry enough amps to power an ARB compressor and fridge running off that thin of wire. An ARB compressor is rated at 25A. The dometic uses about 3A. Add more for any other accessories. A 16g wire can handle about 12 amps total. You do the math, it doesn't add up. Learn and it do it right or have it professionally done. Unless you want to cook the 4R, yourself, or your family.

That wire from the harness it came with I just cut it and wired up to fuse box so I’m guessing since the wire has a 40 fuse maybe it can handle the fuse box also. Do you think ot will be ok if I change the 100 amp breaker to a 40 amp would that be ok I’m not going to run anything else other than the fridge and compressor?

No because the wire you're connecting from the main battery to the Blue Sea ST Blade is embarrassingly thin. You can keep the 100A breaker and upgrade to a 6 or 8 gauge wire going from your battery to the ST Blade. Do not reuse wire from the ARB kit.

Will upgrade wire then I have 6 gauge wire just need to buy the tips to connect the battery to fuse then fuse to fuse box


I connected the air compressor to the negative and positive of fuse box since I thought the compressor needed more power the fuse box
