If you are getting nearly 30mpg in a 4Runner with 285's, I'd suggest buying a lotto ticket.

Bro this is to funny that mpg was what was the reading going 55 rpm at like 1500 today I’m driving the Prius to work maybe during the week I take another pic of mpg on runner

Nope I don’t need them. The span from the front brackets to the rear is 51” and the distance from the front bracket to the end of the mesh is 20”. I stood up there and at 180 lbs the thing didn’t move. Plus I don’t plan on putting any significant weight up there. If I install a RTT it will be over the brackets.

I was able to get the bottom drawer / counter top built if the 4Runner Expedition Camper Build. Shotty work say many, me too, but it's more or less a learning experience and in order to find out how to perfect it I have to start somewhere. The chuck book is coming along mighty fine too.

spent last Sunday morning at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center thanks to [MENTION=216001]503.neil.c[/MENTION] posting some pics recently and realizing it was only a 30min drive from where I'm working.

I remember going to FR when I was little. We took our topless Jeep there and a giraffe stuck his neck in. We live about 40 minutes from it now.

Thanks! They are covers for the emblems that I painted myself and applied. Super easy and well worth it.

I didn't do it today. But I painted more things. I did the hood because I'm sick of getting free Lasik every day. Everything else is pretty much aesthetic. But I do have to say having bed armor on the rear bumper + cup holder mod is really nice (nonslip surface).

I refuse to give Toyota money for these valances that like to rip off in a little bit of mud. Hence me painting my rear bumper.

I also learned a lesson the hard way about acceptable risks and recovery gear/techniques.

I had no intentions of going mudding. I got stuck by myself and had to dig her out. I was racing the rain so I didn't cover the seats.

I got snatched out. Guy didn't have a 2way. Windows down it was.

Is 35% legal in MN? Also, we should meet up again sometime!

50% is legal in MN but SUVs are handled differently than sedans and I was told I'd have no issue. I decided to go 35% because putting 20% over the factory tint in back makes it 2% and the contrast is enough that it shouldn't pose any issues.

Also - we for sure need to get together soon and rip up some trails. Let's get something on the FB group yeah?

Can't imagine doing that to my new 4 Runner, but I've been there done that in my Bronco on more than 1 occasion..I've got a winch on my rig and, but I almost always wheel with someone else who can recover me if I get into trouble..Can't tell from the pictures, but it doesn't look like you had much access to good winching points..

Well it was ****ing hell digging for 4-6 hours while having a fvcking repeated panic attacks about the thunderstorms that somehow kept completely missing me. So not far off really. Flash flood season is not the time to dick about.

Annoyingly enough there was a big dead tree in front of me that would have been perfect.

Double annoying was the fact that the bog hole at it deepest was only about the length of the truck. If I wasn't so low I could have gotten her out in an hour or so.

Triple annoying is someone told me about the 2/4 ratchet strap method. I had a 5,000lb ratchet with my recovery gear and plenty of logs that would have done the trick.

It was a long day.

Edit.... I also realized I prob could have used that strap to winch myself out... fuuuuuuuuckkk
