I'm not one for winching off of dead stuff..with the suction that mud can put on tires, I've seen plenty of trees snap and that will flat out ruin your day.

maybe now is the time to invest in some good MT's..I've got Toyos on my off road rig and they'll go through anything..

Annoyingly enough there was a big dead tree in front of me that would have been perfect.

Double annoying was the fact that the bog hole at it deepest was only about the length of the truck. If I wasn't so low I could have gotten her out in an hour or so.

Triple annoying is someone told me about the 2/4 ratchet strap method. I had a 5,000lb ratchet with my recovery gear and plenty of logs that would have done the trick.

It was a long day.

Edit.... I also realized I prob could have used that strap to winch myself out... fuuuuuuuuckkk

What did you use to run the air line to the front? I am thinking about doing a very similar run to the front grille area so I don't need to worry about popping the hood open when using the compressor.

I bought the cheap, simple viair air source relocation kit and i just doublechecked when I bought it it was ~$18. It was easy to route and simple to use. Only recommendation is read the instructions because the line is a little difficult to onto the swage, so make sure to use the warm water and soap trick.

What battery tray you using for the secondary battery?

I was gifted the Shrockworks kit for Christmas and it is NICE! easy to install, instructions are great, and all the parts are there. I recommend it. Yes it is "costly" but buy once cry once. :hippie:

That's a good point. Even more dangerous considering I would be standing there cranking on a ratchet strap.

After the cross country move, took my trusty and fairly unmolested 12 SR5 in for an oil change. Walked out with 2018 Off Road Premium. Local dealership was more than happy to meet my trade-in price and dropped lower than I could have asked on the new one.

Sprint booster v3 throttle controler

Installed my throttle controler today.........Can't belive what a difference this Sprint unit made. Looks like I'll be leaving at the Sport 5 level. In race mode it JUMPED.......Install was 30-45 minutes, and fairly easy. So all in all very pleased.

Finally got new shoes! BFG KO2 275/70R17’s. The greatest part is I just had them done this afternoon and didn’t get home yet and got a call about selling the Bridgestones! Only 17k on them, couldn’t just throw them out.
