What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Nothing special, but put on the AVS ventvisor or window deflector...whatever you want to call it.

Got the alignment done after the lift and installed my tuff skin skid letter. Love the letters but not overjoyed with the alignment specs. They said the cams are maxed out. It does drive nice and straight though.

I just went through the same thing. Could only get caster to 1.4 or so on mine, so I bit the bullet and got the SPC arms through Battleborn in the group buy section. 3.9 now, and less darty on the highway.

Went by the alignment shop that did my old cars and race cars I've built. He said even if he could squeeze another 0.5deg of caster out of it I really wouldn't notice a difference. Until I do a set of SPCS he would bother with it. Going to need a set when I do the Kings so I'll keep an eye out for a sale or GP.

I broke my rear shock :ybrick::ybrick::ybrick::ybrick:
I forgot to take of the shock while working on rear springs and I broke my left rear shock (FJ TRD Pro PTR13-35141-LR).

I need some help finding a replacement for this shock or maybe a replacement for both shocks that can give me the same functionality. I have Eibach E30-82-071-01-02 rear springs.

Help please...

It's just a Bilstein 5160 shock. You can buy them all over online.

What broke on your current shock? I have the same FJ kit and love it. The FJ 5160 has a rubber hose for the reservoir. The regular 5160 is a braided steel hose. I believe you can use the same mounts and everything if you go with the non OEM shocks.

I wanted to remove the rear spring and I stretched the shock too much (forgot to remove the shock from the bottom knuckle on the axle).

Im confused by the caster numbers people are mentioning.
I have the Eibach Pro Truck lift, with stock arms, below are my alignment numbers. Which are all green so seem to be in spec.
I dont understand others mentioning caster near 4 degrees, isnt that way out of spec?
Anyone know what the STOCK numbers are?
Mine seems to drive fine, I dont get any of the darty highway stuff people mentions.
Only small thing I notice is sometimes bumps and potholes will move the steering wheel around a bit.
Nothing horrible, you just get more road surface feedback into the wheel then I did stock.

Stock specs mean nothing after a lift. You want to be in the 4* caster area when lifted around 3" You will not achieve that with stock upper control arms though, just not possible.

If you look at the acceptable caster range shown on the alignment report from Bayou_Pro it says 2.8-3.8. I believe that is the factory spec. The range shown on your sheet is huge-I don't think they looked yours up before they started. Feedback from folks on the forum with lifts has indicated that the closer to 4.0 they have gotten, the better their ride has been. I would agree based on my experience. That moving around after hitting a bump or pothole you mention is the dartiness I have referred to. Highway speed limit where I live is 80mph in many places, so it really gets exaggerated when you hit a bump or change lanes at that speed. The acceptable range shown on your report looks to be -0.3 to +6.8 (by my old eyes on a phone screen). Pretty much anything is going to fall within those numbers.

Yeah I was trying to figure out his graph as well. I was totally confused. I think all of his numbers are green because there is no vehicle selected. His caster numbers are green and he has less then I do.
