Finally pulled the trigger on a RTT (iKamper Skycamp 2.0). Bout to do a 10 day Colorado to Wyoming trip so we'll see how it goes.

Installed a sprint booster before camping with the fam - set it to green 9 and it's not only a very noticeable and pleasing difference in acceleration but makes driving in traffic with the trailer way easier and more responsive.
Wife and I are currently looking at travel trailers. Due to being limited to height and width from an underground apartment parking garage, we're only able to look at small teardrops and pop-ups as options.
Just wondering what your opinion is on camping out of a pop up trailer? Is there anything you feel like you're missing out on by not having a hard-sided place to sleep or the option for heat/air conditioning? Did you cross shop any other kind of trailer? Do you feel like the maintenance is a pain or easy with the canvas on the pop up or having to deal with moisture, etc?
Thanks in advance!
We have been pop-up camping since 1986 and have loved it. My kids grew up camping this way and my grandkids were introduced to it too. I'm tired of towing now after all these years and my oldest son will inherit the camper. You can get one with a AC/heater in it and it works fine. Spray the canvases with something like Camp Dry once a year and keep them clean. I have the original canvases on mine since '89 and they are still completely waterproof. Hope this helps.

I've been trying to get the GF on the RTT bandwagon for about 6 months now and she was always telling me how they are too expensive (looking at used CVTs & Tepuis) and she doesn't see the pros versus just sleeping on the ground, etc, etc. Then she sees an iKamper (just like yours) on a white 4Runner (just like yours) in some PNW living magazine and that's when she says, if we get one, it has to be this one.
I didn't bother showing her the price. I just said, ok!
A-Basin? Lived in Breck back in the day

What tool/s were used to cut the really big hole. I am nearly on the trigger for this snorkel.
Unique Style Racing finally got their blackout taillights in stock so I swapped mine out today after they came in the mail. Pretty subtle difference, but the chrome of the taillights was insanely noticeable after blacking out the rear emblem, so I had to do something about it.
What do you think of them? I have been looking for something with the 2014+ style to replace my 2011 taillights. These look like they would fit the bill.
Installed the WeatherTech rainguards that my son got me for my birthday. Quick, easy install.
I gave it a good cleaning, inside and out, in preparation for my upcoming annual Nevada & Mojave trip. I'll be getting it dusty and dirty on the trip, but I always like to start off with a clean vehicle. I also applied some Rain-X to the windows.
My trip is still a week away, but I'm really looking forward to it. I've researched some interesting sites to visit, and plan on doing a lot of video. I also have some new photographic equipment I want to try out.
.
Those look great. Model number/where you bought them? There are so many different models for the T4Rs.
