Don’t be too disappointed with your purchase I think it’s just part of owning one of these small rv’s. We have had minor issues with our Rpod too. We took a few trips to Galveston from Dallas before I bagged the 4Runner and you can definitely tell the difference with the front end once they were installed. Our Rpod weighs about the same amount. We have been to Florida and quite a few “local” trips and really enjoy it. Once you get all the kinks worked out you’ll be good to go. Enjoy!Well it looked cool for a few seconds...
In true mass-produced travel trailer fashion, after we waited three hours to do the walk-through, finish paperwork, and them set up the 4Runner with the weight-distribution hitch and brake controller, they found a leak in one of the water pipes underneath the trailer as they brought the car around.
I told them to just hold onto it to fix it instead of bringing it back, so we unhitched the trailer and left it at the dealership.
Not a huge deal since we're flying out of town for the next week and don't have a trip scheduled until the 2nd or 3rd week of September, but it just solidifies my concerns of buying a mass produced trailer when we can't even take it off the lot before something goes wrong.
Oh well, that's what warranties are for. Hopefully it's not a huge deal and they can have it ready by the time we get back into town. Just really ****ing annoying when I was already paranoid.
Like I said though, this trailer in particular isn't too complicated since it doesn't have slideouts and other fancy stuff, so hopefully all fixes will be relatively simple.
Kind of surprised how much the rear end was sagging even with the weight distribution hitch. The thing weights 2900 lbs. I was hoping I wouldn't have to go to airbags but I may have no choice if the steering feels squirrely. Guess the leveling kit doesn't help.

Hmmm...as with most lifts the ride is subjective. Not sure how a sales guy could judge the ride of your old truck. With not being a weekly off roader, I’ve always been after a fairly soft ride to maintain comfort. I’ve been pleased with ToyTec’s advice and customer service. Much better than other companies I have dealt with who simply want your money and you to listen to their “expertise.” Good luck.

Yeah. The service guys were really apologetic and I've heard stories of other dealerships not scheduling repairs until months out, so at least I seem to have chosen a decent dealership.
Were you running a weight distribution hitch or just the full tongue before you went to airbags?

Mine are on the UPS truck heading out to the house today!!! I'm excited to get them installed and loaded up with adventure stuff :guitar2:

Hmm...yeah, that's not a good start. Well, at least it happened there and I'm sure that's an easy fix. While it's there I'm sure you'll have them double and triple check every system just to make sure. Don't forget to check those trailer wheel lugs too before you head out with it after round 2!

Yeah, they seem to be wanting to make me happy ultimately, so hopefully they do another check of everything before they hand it off.
