I did it last night and had to trim the metal tab too. It was a 5 minute job that, through a comedy of errors, took 3 and a half hours.

Got the body mount chop, fender liner mod, and a little trimming on the front bumper done. Now no matter what i do there is no rubbing!!

I found a local detail shop who does underbody anti corrosion protection. It’s marketed as a sound deadening and corrosion protection film with a lifetime guarantee and reapplication if/when needed. I talked to one of the techs and they literally spray everything on the underbody, which concerns me because I could see hardware becoming a nightmare to deal with.

Question - has anyone gone this permanent one-time application route for corrosion protection? In OH, where they bribe the roads the day before it snows and keep it coming until they run out of money or Spring comes.

Well here's what I think. This is a product made by a small company with very little info given and no long term testing. They offer a lifetime warranty however if they go under you have no big label to back them up. Personally I would not go with this stuff. IMO buy 5-6 cans of fluid film and do it yourself.

Replaced serpentine belt (kept old one as a spare).

What fluid are you using in your transmission? Looks to be pretty dark based on the drips left behind.

Toyota WS with a bunch of miles on it. Going to do a couple more drain and fills after this should be good for a while. I use Maxlife in my other 4R it always comes out looking like fresh kool aid.

Changed the oil myself on the 4runner for the first time. Quicker and easier than I thought it would be.

Went with the new Rotella 0w20 for gas engine trucks. Always trusted Rotella on diesels over the years, so I assume it's good stuff.

Suspension test lol

This was the only way back without a massive detour. So I took it and was extremely happy with how smooth the 4Runner crawled over the terrain. Definitely put the suspension to the test for sure

Thanks, $10 2 piece magnetic one from Walmart, it’s in the tool/automotive area.
I have some riding gear (glasses gloves shock pump air gauge etc), jump starter, window screens, first aid, lights for night riding, repellent and so on.

How will you secure the drawer to the vehicle? Is it through mounted to the cargo tray?

The slide has 4 holes in it already, near the rear of it with plastic interior trim inserts. I popped two out and through bolted it with some 5/16 SS hardware, wig nuts on the bottom incase I need to pul it out.
