Looks pretty good though. Old school Kenwood Excelon tweeters? I haven't seen that purple used in many years.

Yeah. Just picked up a component set of xr-1800p. Like the oversized woofer 7" and oversized tweeter 1.75"

My front stage will be an 8" woofer in the doors, pair of 5" woofers in the kicks, 3" full range in the dash, no tweeters at all. All custom of course. I learned a long time ago that buying pre made component systems is a waste of $ You can do much better for much less.

You didn't need to put that image in my head. I am hoping to get my 2020 T4R TRD Pro in a few weeks in Super White. I'll just keep thinking Stormtrooper instead. I sold my 2016 Taco TRD OR in MGM (which I loved) but needed a different color. Many would be shocked, but I passed on two AG that came in for Super White.

true. debated going with 7"-8" mids in door. already have 3" full in dash. was looking at 1"-2" in custom sails, but ultimately didn't want go full active yet, hence they reason i went with this component set. passive xovers, already had door adapters with kit, over sized tweeters.

Put in Morimoto 35W 5500K HIDs tonight. The visibility difference is, well, night and day. :laugh: I followed the DOT guidelines for adjusting optically-aimed headlights (projectors) and had to adjust them downward several inches from 25 feet to wrangle them into compliance. I must say I appreciated the pitch-black test drive I took this evening through the back roads. The high beams look yellow in comparison now. Rather striking how different it is. Reckon I’ll work on those next. No photos of the 4Runner because it looks like every other photo or YouTube video of the type. So find one of them and imagine.

Wanted another old-school Toyota 4WD emblem like I had on my Taco grill, but couldn't find one on ebay so I decided to fire up the CNC router and make my own.

That’s pretty awesome. Where did you mount it? It’s hard to tell from the pics. That would make a cool side badge too on a smaller scale. How much might that cost?

I took the wife and kids camping and filled up the SR5P. When we arrived at the campsite, I rolled right over the parking bump stop like it was a small log. It was hardly noticeable with the new lift and 285’s. Smooth as butta!

Finally took my 4R in to take care of the airbag recall. They handed me this on the way out. I know some of this is necessary, but is all of this really needed or just a way to get some more money out of me? I’m at 135k miles.

Put the Christmas lights on. It's so much easier just plugging everything in and zip-tying it down! Running a hardwire to the inverter really makes this easy!

Active is the way to go. Just make sure you go with a good DSP What amps are you running? I will be running an Arc Audio XDi 1100.5 and XDi 1200.6 Haven't decided on the DSP just yet.
