Side View Mirror Upgrade
Cheap and simple mirror upgrade to include the blind spot mirror. It's a mystery to me why this is not standard on all cars. It's a rav4 mirror and fits PERFECTLY. Im sure a lot of yall on here have this.
But here is are the part numbers.

Finally got around to vacuuming it and cleaning the interior for the first time in about two months. Love the built in inverter! Powers my shop vac just fine. A little diluted Purple Power in a spray bottle and a microfiber towel on surfaces and seats did the rest. The outside needs washing, but with rain and snow a couple times weekly, it isn’t worth the effort.
Makes me laugh everytime I read this.
Got my new (to me) 2016 4 Runner SR5 last week and got some new tint on it. the driver and passenger tin thad been nicked with what seemed like the seatbelt a bunch of times from the previous owner. I got 15% on the driver and passenger and 50% on the windshield. Really makes a big difference from the outside. hardly looks any different from the inside. I also cleaned the wheels and they were pretty filthy. So I cleaned those with some Adams Wheel cleaner. (I live and die by their products). I have begun to start polishing, i started with the door handles, and i will do more this weekend. I cant wait to get this thing coated!

Put the GOBI on last night, + ladder and windscreen. Always fun to find hardware left over (not). I have enough projects going on simultaneously that it might not be a GOBi piece, but does anyone know what these screws are for (if it is for the GOBI rack)? Install was straight forward and I don’t have any holes missing hardware... I think these two screws held the aluminum pinch plate for the ladder in-place for shipping only...

Been looking, and looking and looking for a short extension to the 7 way blade plug so I don’t have to crawl under the vehicle when I attach a trailer. Found nothing on this site, but finally found a two foot extension on amazon. If anyone is interested, it’s called: Proline Power 7-Way Trailer Plug Socket Extension Cable with 7-Blade Wiring Connector (2 Foot). I would have thought more folks would want easy access to the plug, or maybe my search terms did not work.

That was the worst I have ever seen it up there - way too many people. We almost just said screw it and left but we persevered and turned out to be a great day.

Installed: Pro style grille, plasti-dipped the emblams and front and back valances black, plasti-dipped the grill "Toyota" and back "4Runner" white. Installed the bezel lights. Excited how it all turned out. (sorry for the dark picture, the only one i was able to take after a long day of projects).

Was last week, but installed the Morimoto elite HID kit. I ordered the standalone canbus option (in lieu of the HD relay harness, which I have as a backup in case the canbus doesn’t work out). I didn’t want wires running all over the engine bay, and while the canbus harness is advertised as a fix for “light out” warnings in European cars, Morimoto confirmed it should be fine for 4Runners, they just didn’t have any feedback from users yet. My main reason was the fact that they plug directly into all factory wiring without a battery-fed relay, so I was hoping for a much more discrete install. I ALMOST pulled the headlights and popped out the factory gasket below the low beam bulbs in order to use this gasket entry point for the amp ignitor wiring (deleting the need to drill a hole in the dust covers and keeping it REAL clean), but alas I didn’t have the time prior to a trip to the mountains. That said, I know I can do this later and replace the dust covers I just drilled into.
Only complaint (and a small one) is that - for the canbus harness or HD relay both - the length of wiring from headlight to AMP ignitor is too short, severely crippling my ability to hide everything out of sight. The driver side is hidden by mounting it to the side of the battery, but the passenger side had to be mounted in plain view

Mirror upgrades
Getting the parts together to do a mirror mod upgrade. Led puddle lights and sequential turn signals. Thought that’s all I would do but then Eddy from Suma let me know that pre orders for the convex mirrors were being taken so I placed my order for a pair of those also. Too cold for messing with it right now but pictures to come after the install.

Maybe we need a border wall between Oregon and California. I saw the traffic cams at Government Camp, looked way too busy.
There were way too many people. Now that the road work is done at least we werent stuck behind every Prius with chains on. Ski Bowl was waving people off and I heard Timberline had a power outage so apparently they all descended on Govi.

Are the light bezels from AJD or aiden James design? If not, from who? If so, how long did you have to wait to get them?

Yeah, they are from Aiden James. I got them in less than a week after ordering, albeit, his shop is the next city over from mine so shipping was like a day once the order was confirmed and processed.
If you are thinking of ordering them, I got the switchback versions and his install video uses different T-Taps to splice into the turn signal than what is provided (not a big issue but drove me crazy at first because i am not electrically inclined).

Ya, I made the mistake of thinking I could squeeze a group 31 in that space. What a fool I was! Two days in Death and I cracked 3 of the factory fender nutserts and sheared the one off the firewall. It was just a mater of time before the fender would have cracked. I also switched to the Shrockworks kit and now have a group 34 sitting in the place that Toyota engineered a battery to sit and no issues.
