Tailgate garnish

Swapped out the tailgate garnish for a OEM black one, new letters and emblem still in the mail, will apply when avail.
Short version - A while back, the wife accidently hit the garage opener while my tailgate was up, got a little rub damage before I could stop it. It wore just a little of the super white on the left edge. I sanded and sprayed matte black but never likes the results. If anyone if looking for a project to redo theirs without removing the existing one, I don't want to tell how much a new garnish, letters and emblem costs but I do have the orig one for sale. No broken clips or anything, just needs a little prep and paint to be just like new again.
$40 plus $14 to ship priority mail in the oem box.

Joined the club finally. Upgraded the dash speakers with Infinity REF-3032s. The part that saved my sanity: I disconnected the originals and jumped to pins to allow me to keep the door speakers function and button everything up while I then made my own harnesses at my leisure (which equaled about two weeks of putting it off)... I did NOT sand down the covers because I feel like I got them in there low enough.

You need to remove the OEM capacitors on the OEM plugs. Leaving them there is seriously degrading your sound. You should remove the cones on the bottom of the OEM grills to allow more should through the grill.

New custom button from CruiserHeads (CH4x4). Turns out you can submit your own artwork to them for a truly custom button.

Tapping into the dash backlight + and variable - so that the button dims with the other dash lights and buttons (and making a bus using Wago Lever-nuts for the other buttons I'll be adding):

Lifted my 5th Gen 4Runner today!

2.5" in the front with Bilstein 5100s and a 1.5" spacer in the rear from Daystar. Also installed Falken Wildpeaks as well. Rides great now!

Thanks for that! I disconnected the factory capacitors and ensured zero solder etc touching and I hear good bass coming from the new Infinities.

Are you saying to shave down the OEM covers anyway - even if they aren’t touching the new speakers? Reasoning?

Urd fuel pump & filter upgrade

Installed URD fuel pump & filter upgrade kit.
I had to pull the gas tank to get to the pump obviously.
Not fun, but not too bad.
Surely glad that it is done.

Installed: Pro style grille, plasti-dipped the emblams and front and back valances black, plasti-dipped the grill "Toyota" and back "4Runner" white. Installed the bezel lights. Excited how it all turned out. (sorry for the dark picture, the only one i was able to take after a long day of projects).

where can i find the bezel lights?

Cleaned the beast up. Vacuumed and made it all Purdy. Possibly looking at trading in for a 2020 Ford Ranger.. I came from an 09 Taco and just cant get away from not having a truck. Tired of hauling firewood etc in the back. Test drove a 3rd gen and I feel that platform will be worse than my 4runner for towing my small camper..

Seems a lot of ppl are commenting that the Crawl control is much better than Toyotas, which is nice. Price is better too. However I'm not sure on the 5' box, and the fact that its a Ford... Decisions Decisions… :blah:
