What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Replaced OEM group 24 battery with group 27F. Fits perfectly, weighs less than a group 31, but higher capacity than a typical group 34. Replaced battery tray with one from tundra/sequoia, which fits perfectly.

Is switching the fitting just screwing a few things, or is it more of a "mod" that may or may not fail spectacularly?

Also moving the gauge? Looking at this setup myself (+1 hose to 4 tires!)

Maybe “mod” wasn’t the right wording haha. I cut off the connector at the end of the black hose coming from the compressor and used a 3/8” barb to 1/4” NPT male fitting.

That went into a 1/4” T with the gauge on top, and the standard female air hose connection. Then I changed hoses to a 25’ coiled Kobalt hose from that big blue store because the coils were smaller.

toss the yellow hose it comes with in the trash alone with the gauge setup and off you go!

Upgraded to the Alpharex LUXX series headlights and Aiden James Customs LED fog light bezels over the weekend. LOVE the new look! Pics don’t do it justice.

US Flags

I added US Flags to my back windows. Got them from xplore-offroad.com. You can get them with 10% off using USA10.

That is the required pressure for my BFG All Terrain TA KO load range E tires. Likely that range is what he’s running.

So mine are load range C. The 42 is hot psi after they’ve warmed up or after being on the trails. That equates to approximately 38psi cold.

They are probably running LT285/load E tires, which should be run somewhere between 38-42 PSI to meet the same load capacity as the OEM P265 tires, which are load C.

I’m 100% sure OEM P265’s are not load C.... they are A which is a 2 ply. I could be wrong and will admit it if so. I’ve not see an OEM tire that is load C.

You’re right. OEM is not load C. Mixed up terms in my head.

I used tint spray and painted the chrome on the tail lights. I'm not crazy over the results but I like it better than the chrome.

Well, the USPS is still holding my Anytime Camera system hostage, and I was bored, so...
I installed my ICS Fab dash mount and the phone/tablet mounts.

Loaded up the cooler and the fam and drove to the Flight 93 National Memorial in Somerset, PA. Emotionally draining yet intriguing memorial. Then to lighten the mood, we stopped at Penn Alps for applesauce bread and chocolate cake. Beautiful weather and LaToya ran perfectly!

Passed 80k miles on this last trip, so today was maintenance day. Oil change, tire rotation, front/rear differential fluid, transfer case fluid, and greased driveshafts. Transmission fluid will be next week.
