These things are awesome

Totally amazing. I got mine when I bought our 4Runner last year. Makes it so much easier and faster. The pressure washer also helps tremendously.

We bought our 4Runner used, and it looked like it sat under a sap tree for 8 years. Even after a wash and clay, it had massive stains/streaks. I hit it with a 1-stage compound/polish and wrapped it up with a Meguiars 3-1 wax. It's back to looking sharp, even for a white vehicle.

I installed a Warn VR EVO 10s into a Warn semi-hidden bumper. I believe it was the hardest thing I've done vehicle wise ever! Not so much mechanically technical but at 60+yrs the getting up getting down slithering underneath then repeat by myself over and over during pretty much the entire day left me feeling like I had been through some UFC fight! Although come to think of it I did have a helper.

Ironically a lift that makes it easier to steal the cat makes it harder to steal the wheels I've just learned. Glad they didn't get your cat.

Central coast near Santa Barbara area, pretty sure they were crackheads with no experience as weird as that sounds and looks typing. They used my predator steps as jacking point and looks like when it snapped on them they spooked and just took off

Youre getting your cracks and meths mixed up. They are high for days on that Mexican/Chinese super-meth. Stealing lug nuts IS the high. Too bad it doesn't make them want to surprise-detail your car for free at 4am instead of stealing parts off it. They would do an amazing detailing job I bet... or clay bar the paint to bare steel, I dunno.

agreed no more messing with a bucket. I still take a towel and wipe down the car while the soap is running off it

Finished making a few more drawers and modified the fridge pullout I found. There was a bit of a learning curve bending the signs around without cracking the edges. I do sort of regret not spending a little more on the slides so the drawers could be removed.

I have an appointment for an alignment tomorrow.
I bought the 17 SR5 used from a Toyota dealership. Previous owner had installed a spacer level/lift, and did nothing to compensate. Neither did the dealer.
The headlights were aimed way too high. Low beams over the roof of vehicles in front. High beams signalled passing satellites.
It has been very 'twitchy', so I hope the current alignment numbers are wonky and can be corrected.

You might consider a lifetime alignment if they're available in your area at a reasonable price. I bought one for my Tacoma for just about 2x the cost of a one-time alignment and would take it back to Firestone every 6-12 months for a check/adjustment.

YMMV though, some Firestone shops are pretty ineffective (as I'm sure others can confirm based on their experiences).

Finally got a warm and sunny day. I’ve been using my ‘18 SR5 like a truck/tractor developing my new property for much of the past year. I vacuumed and cleaned the interior in considerable detail, cleaned the upholstery, raised the back seats, replaced the cargo privacy cover and cargo net and put my usual carry ons back in place. I usually don’t use a car air freshener but today I liberally sprayed Fabreeze Fabric into the carpet and seats.

Assembled a set of Bilstein 6112 for the front of my 4runner. I measured and verified they are 3/4 in longer than the factory struts, if there were the same length I would have used a top spacer to effectively get more droop. I set the rings up for what the instructions show to be 2" of lift.
I had not noticed previously but I measured all four corners today to get "before" numbers, my 4runner does have the driver side lean. When I first read the Bilstein instructions regarding setting the drivers side two rings higher than the passengers side I thought that was silly, then my brother told me the factory springs are rated higher on the drivers side. Learn something every day.
