What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

This is probably my first install in all my vehicles. Installed my thinkware u1000 front/rear dash cam and the radar module with the powercell battery bank. I had it hardwired in last vehicle but this time I just plugged the powerbank to the port in the center console. Both camera turns on when they detect motion/bumps to the vehicle when it is off.

Nope, just on road. You can definitely feel it. You get that "floaty" aired down feeling like the reviews say. Now that the new suspension is in I'll hopefully get it out in the next week or two.

Honestly for what it costs and how easy it is to install I don't think you can go wrong. May be one of those "get on it while you can" type of mods before they go away for awhile. He's having a hard time getting connectors. I got it for that reason and I think it's just a cool mod, even if I won't use it that often. Also, with the new suspension i wanted to make sure I'd be able to get the most out of it when necessary.

with the stiffer shocks i find myself driving in town with it "off" all the time. its floaty but its so much smoother lol.

also, nice setup. tough to beat fox 2.0's for the money.

Retrofitted OEM LED headlights and SS3 Max backlit fog lights into the 2016. Quad factory high beams enabled. Harness adapters from FBC Harness Solutions made it plug n play.

Have you had a chance to try the dr kdss off-road yet? Interested in that system.

I was able to get a few miles off the pavement this weekend on some dirt/washed out/washboard type roads and a nice little rocky trail. They were windy roads so felt more body roll with KDSS off, but definitely felt a difference.

Agreed. I put about 100 miles on them over the weekend and happy with them so far. They are definitely stiffer than stock on road, but I got used to them quickly. I prefer a little stiffer ride anyway. Offroad was night and day difference over the OEM shocks. These handle large bumps so much better and really smoothed out the washboard roads and rocky trail I was running on. Very happy there.

Installed this remote start on my 2022 Off road premium. I honestly didn't realized that it didnt come with one. N2 is the brand and I installed the smart phone module so I can control it from my phone but for some reason that part isn't working. Idk if it's the app or what. I'll have to look into tomorrow. But you press the lock button 3 times to turn the vehicle on for 15 mins. It will shut off once the door is open. ****update****
Working great now. Awesome customer service by N2 design. Remote starter and smartphone module/app works great!

Found a local source of the "Quick Fist" mounting brackets to hold some stuff to the panels.

12volt solutions remote start. they had to send me an entire new kit as the one they sent originally had a faulty module. Great working with them though, worked through it over the phone to try and figure out the issue. ended up just sending me another kit, 2 min install and it works.

Mid oil change, I discovered that some lowlife slimeball had returned a jug of Mobile 1 to Walmart, after he emptied it of the new oil and refilled it with his used oil (eewwww). Walmart then put that jug back on the shelf, where...you guessed it...I bought it. Who does this?

I had drained the 4Runner of all of its oil, changed the filter, buttoned everthing up and went to refill it, and when I opened the cap to the jug, I just couldn't believe what I saw. It was one of those extended WTF moments. Broken seal and black oil. Then I thought, what am I gonna do now? I can't drive or move the 4Runner.

I had to put the 4Runner in neutral and push it in my driveway to get it out of the way so I could get the Supra out of the garage to drive it to Walmart (something I avoid at all costs usually). [1st world problems]

LOL I'm so sorry that happened, but that's actually funny, yet kind of sad, that somebody would go through the trouble to buy, change their oil, and return a $25 jug of oil. I had friends that used to switch the better oil filters into the crappy Fram boxes, but man that's a new level.

I had this exact thing happen to me, only I purchased the jug from Autozone. Luckily a buddy of mine has a Carquest account and had a driver deliver me some oil. Luckily bailed me out. I always check the cap going forward. Lesson learned!
