Just back yesterday from a 3K+ mile trip to Flagstaff, via SoCal. Went down US97 to Carson City and then 395 to Victorville, stayed several days in Seal Beach, then to Flag, back via Vegas. Caught a small snowfall (1-2") in Blewett Pass. Had lunch at A & B Native American Foods in Toppenish (GREAT Ndian tacos!). Started snowing when we reached Bend, OR. Next day, pretty heavy snowfall until almost Reno. Following day, heavy snowfall (including the worst "white-out" I've ever seen!). Lots of IDIOTS along 395. Got to Bridgeport and had heavy rain all the way to Victorville. The "Beast" came through like a champ! Rest of the trip was not too memorable, as to weather or roads.

Had a bad experience with Days Inn-Victorville. Horrible motel-cancelled after one night.

Just spent $348 on rear rotors and pads (all from Toyota), and another $41 having a tire patched/plugged/whatever'd. I'll be putting the new brakes on this coming weekend.

‘18 SR5 with Entune w/NAV. This morning searched this site to find if and how to turn off the Entune screen or entire system. No, but found out how to shut off the screen.

Sitting in the truck waiting for my wife, I found in the App settings that there is a screen off button. I pushed it and the screen went black. It still shows the back up camera. When turning on the audio (I play music from my phone over Bluetooth), it will show the name of the track briefly then go black again. The screen will remain black with each ignition cycle. If I want the screen on again, hitting the home button brings it all back.

If the navigation maps would show full screen all the time, I’d leave the system on. I don’t care for the home screen with the maps showing in a small slice. So leaving the screen turned off is nice.

Thank you! Longest part was getting the plastic covers off each corner haha. Used RTV silicone on all the brackets and bolts to be sure it won't leak. Took about 20 minutes total.

BTW: The seat heaters were nice at 18 degrees F.!!!

Just replaced the original pads and rotors after 78K miles. Went with Akebono pads and Wagner rotors. Feels great and stops on a dime now....not sure why?

Installed the Weboost OTR Drive, so far (even without raising the antenna) have gone from the finnicky one bar spots to full 4 bars 5G LTE on the iPhone.

Used 2 KC Lites wire hiders to go through standard firewall spot.
Ram mount w t bolt in factory rail for antenna mounting.
Unit sits under passengers seat (forward so I can see the light easily when on)


With the Thule Cargo box on, antenna sits just a half of an inch higher.
Box shouldn't interfere w signal as long as it's not full of sheet metal.
And awning sits out bit and antenna is well above that.

Will have to do some more in depth testing w speed test apps, but so far almost double the speeds in certain areas. If there's absolutely no signal this won't give you a signal but there are plenty of times that no bars show but there is still a weak signal, this is where the unit really becomes useful.

Tried to keep the install as low-key but efficient as possible. (no giant mast and cables running through the doors)
