3 new quarts of WS fluid in the transmission.
Shifts smoother, or at least it does in my mind
Used a homemade pressure fluid transfer pump made out of a garden sprayer. Worked very well.
Taught myself how to get the vehicle into transmission temp check mode.

Loaded up to go ride. Any personal thoughts on this? About 1.5” of squat front to back. Bump stop has plenty of room, cone isn’t in contact yet, this is with 1.5” front lift and 1” eibach spring in the rear. I don’t like the squat but it’s not the worst thing in the world. Also this bike is about 320 lbs with a 60 pound bike carrier. So I imagine with the leverage that this bike puts on the hitch it’s got to be close if not exceeding the 500lb tongue weight capacity. Any thoughts?

I have done the same. I use Firestone air bags. I leave them with minimum air in them until I put my bike on it (DRZ400) Then I air up.
Same thing with my DRZ just with Air Ride 1000 air bags. About 320lbs for the bike and 60 for the Black Widow carrier. Works great, but I still have a 1" rear spacer to put in as well that I've just been lazy about. I didn't care at first, but now I would like more rake since I'm about level now with the Fox's and the bike is giving me the excuse to do it.
Honestly, I think the air bags have been the best mod i've done with this thing. It's still not a great tow rig, but has made it manageable for the 2500-3k weight of my trailers with ATVs, the moto, etc. $100 VERY well spent.
Yup I have an 04 yz250 which I’m less worried about on the hitch since it is so light. I am happy to report that the 4Runner seemed to handle the xr600 well over a 30 mile round trip. Never bottomed out and sway was minimal.

I didn’t realize those drzs were so heavy. But that does give me some peace of mind since our setups are so similar in weight. I also have a 1” rear spacer I’m thinking of putting in and I may up my 6112s 1 clip setting. This will probably give me another .5” of rake. In my mind that won’t look bad at all and it’ll help with the squat a tad. Trying to stay away from bags but they do seem to make the most sense…

Had my FJToyman (now in gloss black, they have them in Kings blue also) installed with my shock bellows, CR Cat shields, SDHQ ABS guards, front fender liners pushed forward and then checked for clearances, bump stops, etc. Passed the static test, so now I can get back to the trails.

Currently running a ZX10r as a trackbike...the 4Runner makes it an easy tow.
and even better, when i go down to VIR for multi day events, i put a mattress and pillow in the back, and its a good nights sleep as well.

Put over 100 highway miles on a short 2 night camp trip up in the Napa wine country at Bothe-Napa Campground. Nice to get our 2021 ORP out on the highway to stretch it's legs.
Also keeping track of a crack in the windshield. It started as a mega-rock chip on I-5 coming back from the Hanford area (family stuff). As we were passing a big rig, it ejected a rock that looked like it was about the size of a walnut at the windshield. I suppose it could've been worse-it could've hit the hood too. It stayed just a chip for the first few days, but it had bigger aspirations. On Saturday night, it cracked about 4". Each night after that, it would crack another 1/2" or so. Then, last night (Tuesday) it cracked another 4".
Next step is to call the insurance co (Geico) and then a local auto glass shop.

Since it is a lease, I technically didn’t buy it. Now, were I to buy it out, which I plan on doing, let’s just say I’ll be very happy with the price considering what the market price is.

Hey MrBlah, what kind of skids are those. It looks like aluminum, possibly stainless, looks like they haven't been abused much. Talking about your regular skids not the cat skids....thank you Jim

Well, this wheel squeaked enough to get the estimate for a new rear end. Now, if they'll do the work in a timely manner!
Did you order the "up to 2014" model? I'm interested in these, but the website/info are a little janky. I'm also curious to know if they'll trap water, which would be a huge problem for me in the PNW.

Rci aluminum. Yeah I try to stay way from rock gardens when I can. I recommend them if you are not a rock crawler.

Yes. I have a 2018. I agree that their website is ambiguous/unclear. It would be pretty simple to make it a little better. Product is nice and well powder coated. Maybe they meant 2010-2024? I don’t think there is any difference in the rear shock design and location for the 2010-13 versus the 2014+. As far as trapping water, some members have stated that they drilled a small hole in the bottom. I didn’t. They should do this.
