What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Are these the bushing that wear out and cause the shifter to feel really loose? If so do you have part numbers for them? Might try and get mine done too.

Here is the part number I used: 90385-11003

My 96 2wd shifter only required 2 bushings. I've heard of other people needing 4 bushings?? My shifter bushings were obliterated. The shifter would wobble in all directions. I was concerned that if someone bumped it the wrong way, it might change gears. With the new parts it is completely solid.

[Road Bull]

Decided to paint my Savage skids. I had them off to do the trans cooler so now was the time. Here's a pro tip for those of you getting skids. PAINT THEM FIRST. lol

I didn't cause I liked the bare metal look. Well, oil and tiny rust spots gets all over them and you have to clean all that crap off before you put on the self-etching primer then paint. I cost myself about an hour of labor doing it my way.

I painted them a medium blue and with the black bumper and red calipers it adds a pretty nice contrast under the rig. I tried to get a few photo's but the suns at the wrong angle and they just look black. I'll get some soon.

I also got the Auto Meter trans temp gauge and pillar mount wired up and in place. I was so glad to rip that Glow Shift POS out of there. Amazon even gave me a full refund. The Auto Meter is easy to read, the pillar mount is bomber and I can read it in the sun. For those of you not following along Glow Shift Gauges are crap, junk, POS. I'll repeat it again in case you don't get it. Glow Shift is garbage. Do not use. lol

With the trans cooler in series with my newish rad I'm seeing temps at 150 around town and 170 highway. I hit 180 pulling a long(7 miles) steep grade. It's worth the money and time to do this.

Hahaha.. I hear you about the paint. I painted mine in less than ideal conditions during winter and freezing rain and snow outside. I painted my sliders and skids in my garage. What a mess, lol.

Nice gauge mount. I need to get a scan gauge, but have been putting it off. I should have pounced when they dropped below $90.

Installed a B&M 70264 trans cooler, and a trans temp sender. Still have to install the temp gauge.

Can anyone recommend the best/easiest way to tap into electrical for the gauge? Need constant, switched, ground and dimmer sources. I read the clock bundle of wires works, but only found one recommendation for it.

Hey Guys, need help tracking someone down!!! Someone else used one of these Bulkhead fittings to pass his wires through this firewall and for the life of me, I don't remember who it was (nor is his build thread in my bookmarks, and can't find it by searching).

I know WHERE I want to put it, but I'm having issues thinking of how to get the holes made (worse case is something like a Dremel Tool, then use a Greenlee Knockout set). I was hoping to track him down and see where he stuck his and how he was able to access it.

Anyone remember who I copied my Switch Idea from???? LOL His setup looks almost like mine (or vise versa)

His wiring was looking like this even (except he had all six switches)

It was originally bubbling up and discolored so I got some vinyl and wrapped it. Overall cost me 12.50 for the vinyl with plenty of excess. Used Tiger glue to glue it down and a hot glue gun to secure it to the plastic underneath while I stretched and tucked.

Did some painting this weekend and got my satoshi grille mod on. I painted the grile the same color as the rear license plate bezel but might go green to match the car.

Rear license plate bezel finish was damaged so I removed and repainted the outer section and re glued the gasket.

Picked up a rear bumper filler, cleaned it up, shot it black and installed it
