What wheels did you take off?

How hard of a job was that? Was it as simple as I'm envisioning (e.g., remove those little stanchions, cut old tweeters out, put new ones in, and bake 'em)?

If you have a dremel it will not be as hard.

I had no dremel at that time. Just a box blade and an oven.

The factory ones don't really sit in there, they are connected directly to the door.

Take them off, they pop off. Cut mesh. Heat up (oven doesn't need to be that hot!). Cut metal with box blade.

The tweeters had an insert that I put in there, you can see if around the tweeter itself.

The box blade was risky though. Almost got myself a few times.

I have the V-Leds... Had them for about a year, one burnt out last week.

About $20... Bright enough that I could tell one was burnt out by looking in my side mirrors.

mine went out in less than an year..... for now, I'm going to stick with halogen..

I bought these ones. 2 X T10 10 SMD LED License Plate White Light Bulb Lamp | eBay For $3 I figured I'd give them a try. I had a bulb burnt out anyways and these were cheaper than going to the parts store.

i also got some LED license plate bulbs on ebay about a year ago. Way brighter, clean white light and was like 5 bucks. I bet they are all pretty similar. I love the little simple mods like this! lol

Finally installed my in channel window visors...ordered them a month ago but Fat Fingers Otis at 4Wheel Parts ordered 4th gen ones the first time! Oh well, at least I finally got them.

Hopefully FINALLY done spending all my money on rear axles. Had one side pressed on. The other isn't leaking and hopefully it doesn't start.

Gave the chrome and body panel edges another coat of WD40.....oh and replaced the fuse for the rear window defog!

I got this back from Hard Notched Custom's after they painted my Addicted Off-Road bumper. I bolted it up and threw some tack welds.

I went to the dealer and bought all my parts for my valve cover gasket change... While there I had them change the oil in my wifes car... They messed up, ended up having to do it twice... ( I had my own oil, and told them that. The wrench turner still used their crap.)

If anyone is looking to do that gaskets, and their dealer honors other dealers coupons, I have one for 20% off.

Re-did the front end and made it look cleaner...

1- Ditched the bull bar and moved the HID-converted 500s to the bumper.

2- new grill, all flat black. Might go back and do the Toyota emblem red like my last grill.

3- installed JDM style headlights and corners.

Put on the struts again this time with the 3/4" spacers. No more dragster rake ftw!!! Got the recovery hook and Magnaflow exhaust welded on. Put on the tow sticker...I REALLY need to make a build thread.
