Ordered MICHELIN DEFENDER LTX 265/70R16 set of 4 from costco for 750 + 5% cash back tax, mounting, and life time balance included

I have the same ones, well, the LTX M/S 2's. which is think are about the same as what Costco has. These made my truck ride INCREDIBLE after installed. This is because of the bigger sidewall, it soaks up bumps, and these tires are all one piece, not 2-3 piece that are glued together. They have a ton of flex and soak up the bumps. Keep in mine, even with 35 psi in these, the sidewalls look low still

We have the M/S^2 (Why they went down in numbers I have no idea) on them right now, they are 9 years old, with uneven tire ware at 2mm on part of the tire. Our 4th gen also has them, and they are awesome. To be honest I've never driven a 4runner without them I wonder what it would be like to drivewithout them.

Also I wonder what the 3rd gen would feel like after these new pair of shoes considering how beat up the old ones are. ill report back in a week or so

Save your money on the shackles. Go to Home Depot. Husky 3/4 shackle with isolator already on it for $7

Hahaha Really? Thanks. How do you like the KM2? I'm running Duratracs but they don't make them in the pizza cutter size so thinking either the Km2 or the Toyo Open Country M/T.

I have mixed feelings about them. I liked my duratracs better. For how aggressive these are I think because they're so stiff it feels they slip more. I go on loose rocks a lot and also on wet rocks on other trails and they just feel so slick. I looked at them side by side and I had my front at 40 and my back at 15 psi and they looked the exact same. Couldn't even tell a difference.

Idk I'd go with toyos but I'd do some research. These.. I wouldn't probably do them again. They're not bad but I guess I expected better

Got 2 pristine (albeit dirty) Limited running boards from CL for free today.
Guy was nice enough to leave them behind a bush in his front yard because he couldn't be home to meet me when I picked them up at my lunch break.
(looking back at this, I probably just stole something from his neighbor that he doesn't like)

I took mine off pretty soon after getting the 4runner because they were all dinged up and missing the end caps. Just brought a whole dingy look to it.

I like having no running boards, but my wife and mother in law are pretty short (and I'm stock height).

I do like bone-stock color matching Limited 99-02s with bugflector and window visors, though. Have a kinda bulbous stock appeal to them. I might need to get a buglector and window visors now. Ha.

I'll throw some color match rattle can on them soon and attach them.
After replacing the squeaky u-joints.
After installing new suspension.
After installing the TBU that's been sitting in my garage for 7 months.

Good call! I worked in the rigging field for awhile and its crazy how strict the guidelines are on suspect counterfeit shackles and straps. After seeing a few accidents I'll only use reliable products.

Sent a damaged wheel off to be replaced

Wow, I though I got a smokin' deal on mine at $200! That's a steal! You can barely get the stock 3rd gen SR5 wheels for $100 on CL these days. Did you find them listed online or from someone you know? Just curious.

Yeah, I thought so too... a local dealer has about 50 sets left from what I saw. $40/wheel or $100/set.

They don't appear to have ever had tires on them (although they do have weights on them so idk). Lug nuts and center caps still in plastic wrap.

Took off a rear fender flare to see what was going on behind it. Lots of sand and grit grinding down the paint. I was thinking I would get bigger fender flares or flair these flares up a bit. But now I think I will get rid of them. I'll put on a nice set of rock sliders and big mudflaps which should protect the doors from fling stones and mud.

Luckily it seemed to rub off

Except down where the running boards used to be it's worn down to bare metal. :redbrick: :frusty: :mad2:

I know what I'll be doing the sweekend.

Good to know. Thanks. If I go with the Km2's Id have the tire shop sip them right away. But who knows, I might just end up going with the Ko2's in 315/75/16. Will be installing a 1.5" body lift soon. I have been very satisfied with my duratracs but lately more and more guys up here are switching to the Ko2's and they swear by them now.

Finally got around to installing my new to me slightly used Total Chaos UCA's. They had been collecting dust in my garage for almost half a year. What a battle it was to get them on, or to be more specific to get the old stock UBJ's off.

What should've been a 2 hour job ended up taking 7 hours. Absolutely destroyed the stock UBJ's getting them out. Took an OxyAcetylene torch, grinder with a zip disc, a BFH and a large C-clamp press to get them out.

Bandit Runner front bumper

this week I made this. I bought the plan from Bandit Runner and everything is perfect. Got the parts cut by a local shop and it took me and my buddy 10 hours to put it together and sand. Next step: sand blast and powder coat flat black.
