Summer, and the heat, are coming!
This morning I picked up some Meguiar's Supreme Shine interior UV protectant at the store for about $5. I read several posts of people having problems with cracks in their dashboard and I definitely don't want that! It went on nice and once I started I ended up going over all of the interior plastic. It smells really nice and made quite a difference shining everything up. My cloth was quite dirty after going over it the first time, so I waited about an hour and did it again. I recommend you get out there and put something containing UV protection on your dash asap! Have a great day!

Changed the fuel filter this morning and you should have seen the gas that came out the inlet side. It was dirty, muddy colored gasoline. Surprizingly, the rusted couplings came apart fairly easy.
Moved on to the "Cat Clamp." That was a bit more of a challenge trying to route the cable around the frame. The cable could have been about 5' shorter. Since I park it on the driveway, this will let me sleep better at night.

seafoamed and then I took the nerf bars off. It feels like its lifted now i have to step so high! i'm diggin the new look too. Pics coming as soon as i can get my grill done

True that. I'd thought of it and I'm a 'button' pusher type guy. I'd like to believe I'm going to always remember to turn it off, but we'll see. The first instance where I forget, I'm going to immediately change it to power off with the ignition, but a very good point you've made too.
And, Socco, I like the aviation-style wiring harness clamp you are using as your license plate holder. I used to see those all the time on the apaches I used to work on, but they were white and yellow.

Whew, finished up the timing belt/water pump/pulleys/tensioner/belts yesterday. Never done one before and start to finish was 6.5 hrs. Things i learned from the how too's and personal experience.
Don't need the pulley spreader. Cut the tb and put in a new tensioner.
A chain wrench and a breaker bar are a great team when getting the crank pulley off
Everything on this car is sharp. My arms look like I got sent into a chicken fight.
Easy to do with the right tools and a little knowledge.
