Did you weld those yourself?

I waxed my 4R today. Looking pretty clean! Need to do some rust proofing though on the underside.

Loaned it to a friend's family to use over the weekend. His mom got hit in her car and it looks to be totaled. All the rental car lots are empty because of a massive hail storm 2 days ago so she was going to be without a car otherwise. Glad to know the 4Runner will be helping others out as well.

Yeah I did, the welds aren't too pretty but they'll hold. Yeah I removed it, cleaned it, and painted it black.

no offence but those welds are deff not good enough to tow anything heavy, i see a lot of cold welding a lot of non fusions. i'd grind it down and take your time and weld it again.

I was driving 65 in a 60 which in reality was 75 in a 60 due to my speedometer being off with the new tires. I had three beers about an hour before driving and the state trooper decided i was drunk and need my car towed. Luckily I know some people and it was dropped to negligent driving along with a speeding ticket for 65 in a 60. When I took the BAC test at the field office I was just under the legal limit of .08

in other news, i ordered my shocks and struts, i got the tundra 5100s, and the 5125 pn-6252 that steeze recommended(i figured that with the adapter bracket that would drop them down about a half in so dont risk getting the 6253s that are a half inch long travel -dont want to blow the shock.) and i bought the adapter bracket -eye to stud mount from toytec, all for under $400 shipped to my door so next week ill have my lift...

i've tested .08 with my own bac tester and im not gonna lie i was pretty drunk at .08 but everybody is different. next time grab a sleeping bag and sleep in the back of the 4runner it's actually quiet comfy and nice.

Put in new headlight bulbs, cleaned up battery terminals and greased with leftover grease from packet that came with the bulbs. Sick mods breh.

Well you can't always tell how strong a weld is just by looking at it. There are multiple welds on that piece, that's just the top.

Replaced PCV valve and a couple vacuum lines.

-Installed my Hella DE foglights and OEM turn signal stalk with foglight function.
-Cleaned the interior, getting ready to hit the road to colorful Colorado tomorrow!

Vacumed then shampood the interior. After it dried out I slapped in the new Weather Tech digital floormats for the front and back. Then I finished cleaning up the garage. It's almost ready to start doing some actual mods.

Took off the flares, cleaned them really well...getting painted tomorrow. While those were off, I washed, clay barred, compound polished, sealed, then waxed it. Also took off the roof rack and spoiler, so I could get the roof really well. Its never been so bright. The compund really took out all of the scratches, except for a couple thin deep ones. Looks so much better.

It looks good. Make sure to use a dab of silicone around the screw holes before reattaching the rack to the top. Otherwise, leaks can occur. Don't ask me how I know this.

Thanks, and one step ahead man. I dropped some silicone in each hole. Saw it recommended a while back. It's crazy how much brighter it got, especially on the roof. I wash all the time, and it looks clean. But this is the first time I've polished with a compounding polish...took all the grime off it. Long process, but well worth it.
