Changed the oil and removed about 10 lbs of hollister mud that acted like cement. even after i took off the skid plate bolts it was still hanging there:redbrick:

did the new hoses affect anything? i feel like ive got some old/loose/leaky hoses around there that i think may be an issue

didn't notice a difference and I can't imagine how it would affect drivability. I changed them out cuz I have been running around with a P0440 and P0442. The larger lines on mine (somewhere in the 3/4 range) looked like crap. If you go to change the lines I hope you have a 2ed car or someone to take you to the parts store. theirs about 5 different size hoses in this rats nest, 2 of witch where really odd sizes. My advice is to take the canister off and into the parts store/dealer to match to the connections. In the last few days I found vary few hoses are the size they say they are. Some go by inside diameter some outside and it seams some barely try for close enough. Anyway with removing the canister you have 4 bolts, 2 electrical pig tails, a loomed hose with a vary strange click on connector (take your time with it), the large hose that comes off the bottom of the filler neck (the 3/4), and then the 3 lines that run over the axle (mark them). After the canister and all connecting lines where off I could see 2 more 6-8" lengths of lines so I replaced them too. Here is hoping my CEL doesn't come back on.

I re-chromed my rear bumper to fix the rusty ends. Sooner or later I will find a good replacement part but for now, chrome tape works great...from a distance.

this was how it looked before the repair.

Leaking Transfer Case Axles Seal repair

Been monitoring a slow gear oil leaking coming off of the transfer case axle seal.

Thanks to BigFishAllDay write up, it took the quess work out of the equation. With detailed instructions including parts and tool list the install took less time with everything laid out. I was able to replace the seal in an hour, without any issues.

This week I have replaced a broken front sway bar endlink and stripped one of my fenders of its plasti-dip/spray paint because I screwed up pretty bad (I will be repainting it tonight as well). Acetone was my best friend during this process. I also rotated my tires and got them road force balanced. Definitely worth the money as my ride is much smoother now. I also had the same shop replace my rear shocks as one was blown. I would have rather done it myself, but I didn't have the time and the bolts were stuck on there pretty good. It was worth the $30 they charged me.

As we speak I'm getting my 4runner aligned by a 4x4 specialty shop since the shop that did my previous alignments are complete idiots. I also got a used 265/75/16 Bridgestone Dueler AT to use as a full size spare. I've spent a bit more than I was planning, but I needed my 4runner in it's best shape for my 5 hour trip to Thousand Oaks this weekend.

Got the tires rotated, vacuumed it, and washed it. Oh yeah, also put it in the garage for the next six months. It's gonna be hard not being able to drive it.

Well, yesterday, but who cares.

Tinted my 02 tails. Came out darker than I wanted....AGAIN. So I'm gonna have to sand em down and re-do them.
