Finally some ok weather here in the Vancouver-ish area of Washington so I finally got around to doing the Tundra brake upgrade, garage has too much junk in it so I work in the driveway. And here is my cost break down :
Junk yard calipers off a '05 Tundra - $45 each
Napa rotors - $50 each
Napa premium pads - $54
Chemicals (paint, went with Ford Blue, brake fluid, brake clean) - $34
Tools (lost a bunch of stuff when we moved/lost our house) - $120
Sorry no pics, was in a rush to get it done before the rain hit again.
Cleaned and painted the calpiers. Got the truck jacked up and on stands. Wheels off, brake hoses clamped off (Harbor Freight sells a cheap set of plastic hose clamps/wrenches). Calipers off. The rotors were a little bit of a pain to get off. Took some persuasion with a pry bar. Lined the calipers up and marked the dust shield where it need to be cut. Tin snips made quick work of that. Mounted the rotors and got it set using 2 lug nuts and tightening them down. Spun them a few times to make sure nothing hit. Mounted the calipers, installed the pads and bled the brakes (brake bleeder kit makes this SOOO much easier, I have the vacuum type). Put the tires back on...making sure they didn't hit the calipers when they spin. Then did a little test drive. :drummer: :guitar2:
Brakes so much better and hopefully won't warp like stock brakes. I've had this rig about 8 months and had to cut the rotors twice due to warping

do yours "mist"? Mine just spray fluid out right onto the windshield. There isn't any form of misting at all.
The other day I cut my my lower front fascia to look like rickashay's. I also sanded and painted my skid shield and did some preventative rust maintenance for the upcoming onslaught of road salt.
Did an oil change...which I'm only mentioning due to the number of threads that make dealing with the oil filter far more difficult than it is.
I stepped up on a big wood block, reached down in front of the engine, put a filter wrench on the filter (just behind alternator) and simply swapped it out. No dealing with wheel well liners or removing skid plates. Sure, some oil dripped out but it isn't a big deal if you have your drain pan at the back of the skid plates.

I took off my rear sway bar. Dous was right, can't even tell a difference.

The only consequence is nothing is limiting your rear suspension travel now besides your shocks.
Now is the time to invest in limiting straps!

Try taking off your front sway bar... I broke a link last week and removed the broken link for the time being and now I'm leanin' like a cholo around corners!
BTW, looks like I'm taking a welding class at Palomar this spring. Been meaning to for years, never made it a priority.

Installed $12 knock off TRD oil cap from eBay.

Well compared to the 30-40 for a real TRD one, I found that to be cheap.
