Bug Shield & LED

Installed Wheatertech bug shield (the one that was on the 4r when I bought it cracked and all the screws had fallen out). Looks nice.

Replaced interior LED, previous one was not bright enough for my taste.


Next up, replace antenna and gt new wheels and tires.

Got my Savage sliders welded on. FYI, Roy does awesome work. Sliders were solid, super clean welds. Still wish I got the kickout instead...oh well.

Fixed my Toyota Standard Saggy Seatbelts. Wrecked and fixed my retractor spring twice in the process.

They still don't snap back to the pillar, but they don't get caught in the door anymore either. Good enough.

Mocked up my air bump stop cans. The bump stops have 1.5 inches of travel. I can't wait to get it out and test them.

Attempted the Satoshi mod but quickly realized the screen/mesh I'm using is too thin. I don't like how you can see right through it. I'll get some gutter guard/mesh and do it again this week. At least it's easy! I also ordered a TRD emblem for the front of it.

Nice rear bumper... when you get a chance could I trouble you to take a shot from the rear of the truck looking forward I want to see how flush your bumper sits up against the body of the truck... like I said that is how MINE was supposed to look but like I said the good people @perkins had other ideas..

As far as I know all the 3rd gens do (I can't recall if my 2nd gen did or not), but yeah it's a nice little tweak. I'm a big guy myself and sometimes curse the moonroof, and I actually did a "headbutt" test when I first put the handle in, but it really doesn't get in the way; you'd have to try pretty hard to hit your head on it imo.

diesel 4Runners!

Ran into a guy on Friday that imported 2 second gen 4runners from Japan. He said it was easy and he was able to get them relatively cheap. He said the right-hand-drive configuration wasn't a problem for him... Both of these babies have a 2.4L diesel with manual 5 spd. The big thing for him is he makes his own bio-diesel! Impressive!
