Switched out OME 906s for 890s, added Toytec extended stainless brake lines, PlastiDipped grill and fender flares, and moved rear license plate from center of spare to can carrier.

a little something....
Just mounted some LED light pods on my tail-gate, the pods came with an adheisive backing so the install was a snap, they might look a little cheap but they do the job! BETTER THAN DARKNESS! :fear:
*also got some new decals for the rear bumper: ToyTec & RevteK :bowl:

Nope, I think you're right on. The 906s are stiffer but shorter than the 890s (906s are nominally 2" of lift, 890s are 3"). In terms of the ride, I only put the springs on this past weekend, so they're still settling in and it's hard to compare, but I'd say the 890s ride a bit looser than the 906s (I found the 906s rode best when I had 150-300 lbs in the back, but that was before the rear bumper).
The reason I switched is the 906s sagged more than I expected under the weight of the rear bumper. I (attempt to) run 2" of lift on mine all the way around even when I load up several hundred pounds of climbing / camping gear, and with the weight of the bumper alone the 906s sagged to more like 1.25" - 1.5". I didn't measure frame height when I installed the 890s, but just estimating that they're running about 2.25" with the bumper, but I figure they'll probably lower down a bit as I get them broken in.

Installed Osram 64205 bulbs and adjusted the aim. I will be driving offroad only of course...:wink2: I figured this upgrade was too easy to not do given the lack of lighting from a stock 1996 setup. The bulbs helped A LOT.

Try an LED super white light in the rear area/cargo area. It has done wonders for me when boating at night. I just cant have the whole interior look like Yankee Stadium at night.

I routed my iPod cable through the dash and up through the e-brake hole. Also, installed my new Scangauge II today!

Endlinks and Tint
Finally, finally!, got my new front endlinks installed with Energy Suspension black bushings. Still have to install the new bushings on the rear endlinks, but I have to find a way to get the nuts from hell off first :ybrick:. Those things do not want to budge!
Also, I ordered ES front and rear swaybar bushings. Frustratingly, the fronts did not come with any hardware or brackets and are too "skinny" to fit the oem brackets, so those are getting returned. Got the rears installed though, piece of cake, although I did have to "jack" the brackets into place so the holes would line up. Those came with new brackets and zerk fittings, used oem hardware. Very happy with the endlink bushings. I originally purchased a Prothane kit but those did not fit at all. The ES ones fit the links snug.
Can't give a comparison as far as the bushings go because I think I was driving without endlinks at all up front for a while, but new endlinks vs. no endlinks is a big difference. I can actually take turns at reasonable speeds now!
Lastly, got my front windows tinted. In Oklahoma SUVs can have 25% up front and anything on the back. I believe the privacy tint 4Rs come with is 23% and my front windows are basically identical. This will do for now until I get 5% on all my back windows
