It only takes 15 mins to paint that trim plastic so why bother with a heat gun.
There is a compound called "magic black" or "back to black" that will restore it right away but the effect wears off after a few months.

I washed and waxed my 4Runner today. It looks almost as good as the day I drove it off the lot in '97.
While I was out waxing it in the driveway, a neighbor walked by and asked if I wanted to sell it. I told him I barely drive it anymore (1800 miles last year), but it would take far more than book value, to get me to consider the idea.

231mm Tundra Brake upgrade. These were junkyard rotors and calipers. I wish I would have taken the "before" pictures. It took lots of work with at wire brush to get rid of the rust and several cotes of duplicolor caliper paint to get them looking this good. I've got right at $225 total in this upgrade. I love my brakes now but I've been driving it around for 5 months with worn out factory rotors so I think anything would have been an improvement.

Picked this up at a junk yard today. I've been missing the cup holders in my 97.

From what my girlfriend told me, she just got lucky looking around on ebay japan. I'm still shocked that she even knew what it was and what vehicle it belonged to haha! I guess she does listen to me when I talk about cars and parts!

Took a hit from a sequoia on my way to work, thankfully my hitch took the hit really well (bent slightly downwards) Because the sequoia drove away when I pulled off the road.
