What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

New blue LED bulbs are in. Finally got the old cluster back in with the correct mileage, that I know of.... probably over 360k if this is the original. Looks kinda violet to my eyes, guess it'll do for now. Better than the dingy NVG green it had before.

Glad you're all ok, next time take that ****er out. I live in the woods & deal with them every night coming home from work. Luckily I haven't had one jump out in front of me at high speed but I have to be on alert every day. I plan on hitting the deer & not a tree that will take me out.

Noticed a leaking rear shock and lower ball joint. Both are 18 months old and haven't really been wheeled hard... Bilstein 5100 and oem lbjs...

Replaced that alternator belt tensioner I posted about a few days ago. No more sqeaky belts! Well, except for a/c, but I wont be needing that any time soon.

I've been replaying it in my head a lot since Sat. If I knew the outcome would be the same I would definitely swerve again. Muley's are big and he was a good sized buck, at least a three point, hitting him could have put him through the windshield and possibly gored me or my wife.
Also it happened so fast I didn't have a chance to contemplate options. obviously my instincts are to swerve.
I also live outside of town in a heavily infested deer area. This happened right at the city limits where I wasn't expecting a deer.
I was going probably 50-55mph.
I swerved right then countered left which got the rear fishtailing to the right. rear caught then swung to the left, then back right which spun me around and then rolled once, landing on the tires. If you look at he pic of the pass. side in the dark you can see a dark ring on the concrete near the front tire. There were two perfect 16in circles stamped in the concrete where the pass. tires slammed the ground.
I don't know how much was by-design or just luck that kept us safe, but I am looking for another 3rd gen to replace it.

note to self, get steel bumper w full hoops and belly armor - send that deer under the truck for processing into road burgers

Yea, it's hard not to swerve. I hit a raccoon the other night with my car. Started to try to avoid it but I started heading towards oncoming traffic so I steered back into my lane & crushed it. I hit it so hard I thought I was going to get a flat in my front right tire.

Damn you're close, I haven't wheeled since 2005 but now that my rig is back on the road I'm ready to do some easy trails until I redo the suspension. I need someone to go out with. Didnt do it today but last week i swapped both cylinder heads out for rebuilt ones. Still running strong after two tanks of gas.

Now ive got to fix my rear brakes. Took the drum off yesterday to inspect because the rear brakes didnt seem to be working. Turns out the automatic adjuster levers are completely missing. The shoes werent even makimg contact with the drums. Smh :/

Taking her in today for first time tire balancing and alignment since owning the vehicle.
Ever since I bought this, it has a bit of a shudder at 65-70mph. Hoping it will be as easy as out of balance tire or slight mis-alignment.
