What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Did you have issues with the screws in the grip handle when removing the A pillar? I tried to remove mine earlier this week to install a BT mic where you put yours, but the screw heads stripped after much effort and I gave up and did a top-of-the-steering wheel install instead. I'm thinking they'll have to be drilled out if I ever want to remove them.

This is in a '02. Funny, because I removed the same screws in a '97 with no problems.

Both of my screws had been stripped at some point in the past, but I was able to get one loose enough to work.

I had just enough room to get the cord most of the way under, except for a little bit. Pretty much unnoticeable.

If you can get a little bit of play between the panel and the body, you can slowly work it under.

Maybe your door weatherstrip is failing. I've never had anyone complain about mine. I have flowmaster exhaust too, so there is also that sound for the mic to overcome.

Perhaps also there may be a difference in microphone quality between brands; I'm running Pioneer.

Mine is alpine. People complain about it in the reviews. I assume my old ass weatherstripping isn't helping tho

Real clean install, goes well with my gauge overlays, and works great!

Got the gauges figured out and almost finished:

and ran the OBA for the first time today. Aired up 3 tires just to try it out.
Still have to clean up and put on the finishing touches in various places but it works and it didn't catch fire!

What kind of panel are you going to run over the compressor?

What kind of panel are you going to run over the compressor?

It's cut to fit a match to the other side's panel. I was thinking of either sticking with that (and just pulling it when running the compressor) or possibly finding a shallow wire basket or grate and using clips to hold it in place.

I'm kinda liking the shallow basket idea to keep things from getting packed against the compressor though I don't know if the sides of a basket shallow enough to fit nicely would allow for enough air flow should the front have stuff against it.

It's a thought in progress. Observations always welcome.
