good move, looking past the obvious, find the right tire on a different rim, then sell the rims

Thats the plan! I posted the rims on craigslist for $450 haha. I have no clue what they're worth. I'll look into it more once I get the tires pulled off of them.

I think I saw that same deal on craigslist...nice

The ones in Marietta Gerogia, Atlanta basically? If so then it was probably them. I kept reassuring the guy I was driving down right then with cash in hand to pick them up. He had 9 people call him just on Tuesday morning as I was driving down there to get them.

I got my Ebay remote to work so now I have remote entry, so STOKED about that!!!!:guitar3:

I also replaced my positive battery terminal because it was a bit corroded and sprayed some anti-corrosive stuff on both terminals to prevent it again.

Now going to buy a set of good metric tools to change out my shocks/struts and coils next week.

I mounted the winch along with everything else on the rig. The cast part of the Warn winch broke.

Short version......

Trying to help a guy in a jeep that tried to go around a closed gate in the mountains down here. He was hanging on the edge. My winch wasn't wired up yet. I pulled it out and hooked up to him. Because it was a big JK we decide to hook another truck to mine to prevent the jeep from pulling me down if he went over. When we started to back up the guy in the back freakin floored (new 3/4 Chevy) it pulled the ass ended of the runner around real and then the winch went flying. Got everything stopped. The mounts of the winch itself broke. The mount (which I built) is fine. The guy who owed the jeep felt bad and agreed to buy me a new winch. And no we didn't get him out.

I'd Be interested to see pics of the break point you are right in that those castings are not meant to see dynamic loads. That's why the manual says never drive and winch at the same time. Anyway that Chevy owner
Was a real d bag! Typical...

I understand the dynamic load thing. I was in double low trying to be easy about but the guy in the Chevy had other ideas. I'll post some pics later.

It's stupid...

I only inserted the switch and the cpu, but it makes me feel like I am like 80% done.

Still have to find and buy the rear end w/ 4.10 elocker, re-do the rear axle seals, re-paint it, remove the old one, install the new one, hard wire it.

But seeing this switch makes me grin...

it's stupid...

Yesterday was plugs (thanks to whoever didn't use anti seize the last time), plug wires, fuel filter, air filter, throttle body cleaning, PCV replacement, and IAC cleaning. Tomorrow is tires. Sunday is fluids. Next weekend is 3" lift.

Disconnected my super noisy antenna motor by removing the connector from the relay. Much easier than going through the fender well, IMHO. Also got my clock working while I had the dash apart. All four of the contact springs were compressed. I re-stretched them a bit. Soldering will be the permanent solution when I take it the lab. Good stuff! Now to enjoy my weekend. Currently sitting at 9,500 feet surrounded by the mountains :biggrin2:
