Drove it out to check out my soon to be 6th 3rd gen 4runner It was cool because they had three 4runners too. 2 3rd gens and a 4th gen. Little 4runner meet

Lol. I guess you could say that.. for reference a few of them I had pics handy for. Some from 4 years ago in my 99 highlander some this year in my lifted 98. Only one pic of my first 4runner I bought, was a 98 too. My first 4runner. Started the addiction. Lol.

One I am buying this week. They deleted the ad after I checked it out tonight and I didn't get any pics. This will be my 6th 3rd gen 4runner I've owned.

Always enjoy getting a new 4runner to wrench on.

Over the course of the weekend -

New radiator installed
New ext Transmission Cooler installed
Headlight bulbs swapped
PCV valve and grommet replaced
Running boards removed

The most productive weekends are the ones when the girlfriend is out of town. Funny how that works...

I recently met up with [MENTION=62182]01KY4R[/MENTION] (Greg) in Covington to pick up a spare Sequoia rim. 'Appreciate him picking up the rim from another T4R member for me.

Yesterday I tackled the steering issue: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/164396-diagnose-repair-steering-play-rattle.html . Two tack welds later, and the steering is tight and firm again. It took care of the looseness and rattling, especially when going over bumps on our gravel road.

Installed a new light switch for my LED bar, cleaned up the undercarriage a bit, repainted the rims, and replaced the 194 license plate bulbs with 168 VLEDs.

How was removing the UCA? I just replaced the lowers but have been holding out on the uppers since, I think I need another tool to remove them. what did you use to get them out?

Removing the UCA was easy, getting the UBJ out sucked. I had the spindle off so I cut the top of the ball joint off & pressed it out with a flat piece of metal. (my buddy's suggestion)

Thanks Bro, I'm real happy with the way it came out. I'll take better pics,
this was taken at 6am in the rain Sunday morning. Me & my buddy Craig worked on it all night. We also installed the the hi-flow SS exhaust from the headers back.

Building a better skid - just not finished with that part.

Walked out last night to see a puddle under my right rear tire. So i got to put in new axle seals today. Not what i was wanting to spend my money on but it had to be done. Can't complain since its got 187k on the clock. New fog lights would have looked better. Maybe next time.

That was my only time too like that in the highlander. It wheeled really good stock with new tires after that. Haha it wasn't too bad though. I went to help out a family friend stuck down in their field and ended up burying mine too. They were just spinning I made trenches. Had to get a tractor to pull us both out. I didn't think it was as soft as it was when I started pulling him, was like quicksand mud in the field. And it's pretty nice here in Missouri around the rivers, no mountains. I'm always outdoors. I'm from back in Oregon so I miss the mountains.

Beautiful countryside... the snow was cool looking too. yeah I'll bet those fields can be deceiving.
