Repost???

Got my tundra/906/bilstein combo on along with LBJs with help from a Landcruiser friend. Took 3hrs front and back. I ended up higher in front but looks level. Wondering if shop that put tundra/bilsteins together put the shock on second perch? I checked prior and it looked right but hard to see all perch marks with coil on. The drive is 1000 times better.

Looks great! Are you running 267/75/16s?

yep 265/75/16. makes me want to go bigger after lift but im good for now. we will see how it settles. gotta check the perches on front for height and throw on tie rod end in the next week and get aligned. it actually rolls straight as an arrow now and had no issues at freeway speeds. eventually have to address upper ball joints which look worn.

Swapped the drivers side brake caliper and rotor from my parts truck to my daily driver (had it all of two weeks now, still finding its issues). The caliper on the daily driver was rusted all to hell and the rotor was beyond machining. I'd like to try to rebuild it but the bleed valve is rusted shut and I rounded the nut trying to get it off. Is it worth salvaging?

About to make a 1000 mile round trip. Reinstalled front sway bar after being off since I bought the 4runner. Can't believe I lived this long without it. Night and day difference. Handles so much better. Not hard to disconnect on trail anyways. Installed cheap part store tundra end links. They where way beefier but still need better ones. New poly bushings are in mail.

You should be able to get it off with vice grips. Soak it in PB blaster or some other penetrating oil for a few days first then go at it. Just be careful to not break it off inside the caliper. Apparently my brother thought that was a good idea.

Ive got a pair of 199mm Tundra rotors with 17,500km(theyre pretty much brand new) on them for sale if you plan on upgrading [emoji14]

Ill try that - PBB didn't quite get it off yet but once I remove it permanently from the part out truck I will try to get it working. Honestly, since I can't bleed the line anyway and the brakes are useless, I guess I can go ahead and remove it now... transmission is coming out this week anyway, going to another T4R member, so I won't be able to drive it onto the lift anymore regardless.

What's the requirement for doing the upgrade? Don't I need larger wheels or something? I was looking into doing the Tundra Brakes but remember hitting a logistical snag somewhere.

Thats a sweet 4runner. I want to get mine like that!

Changed my t-case and rear diff oil. Now that I think about it, I should have done the front as well. Tomorrows project.

Did some fluff work while the hubby changed the timing belt, belts and hoses on the 99 Highlander. Long skinny girl arms for the oil cooler hoses, one of the heater hoses on the back of the block, the ps belt tensioner and the pcv valve and grommet. He did all the 'hard stuff'. Hey, that one's his.

Oh, we also teamed up to help the neighbor's friend get her pick-up truck back onto their driveway. She'd dropped the left rear tire off the wall. That was fun to puzzle out. We got enough stuff (spare tire, landscape blocks, other junk) stacked high enough under it to lay one of our ramps across so she could carefully pull it forward onto solid ground. No pics, she was pretty embarrassed as it was.

Washed it yesterday, and rotated the tires this morning. Took it for a day trip up to the mountains. It was nice to take it out and stretch it's legs.
