not quite today, but i replaced the starter copper contacts and the magnetic plunger last weekend. Took longer than i care to admit figuring out how to get to it and pull it out, though if i ever have to do it again, it'll go much quicker.
The 4runner started and drove perfectly fine last week, then this morning, went to start it, and it won't start. Ended up being able to reach the wire plug on the engine side of the starter with my hand through the engine bay. Wiggled that connection around a bit and it fired right up afterwards. Is there a good way to tie the connection, clamp them together better or otherwise permanently apply compression to it so that it can't wiggle the connection loose again?
